Interesting comment... No, I haven't seen this posted as a status from anyone today. However, I can't say that I disagree with it. Even a couple years ago, I'd hear about uninsured people and say "How can they do that? Are they crazy? What if they get sick?" Now, after being laid off, moving twice, and finding a new job, I'm still one of those uninsured people. My new job has terrific insurance, but it would cost me half my paycheck! With all my other bills to be caught up on, there's no way that I can even consider having health insurance right now. I finally understand why so many Americans are without health insurance. It's not right, but life goes on. So I drink a lot of Vitamin C and keep myself as healthy as possible. Oh, and I pray ALOT!!! May God keep us all healthy and someday wealthy! :)

I did see it on one of my friends posts. I have not reposted it mostly because as a general rule I don't repost those things. I kinda agree with it, but I don't see that posting it on Facebook will help any.

I think the point maybe to share the sentiment w/ your friends. & I'm sure the fate that health care reform is being worked on is a contributor.

All of my friend did this yesterday. Not sure if you were supposed to do it on a specific day or not. I very much agree with the statement. I know a lot of people who have no insurance because they can't afford it or don't qualify. People shouldn't have to choose between eating and going to the Dr.

Ah, of course Facebook would come to MyLot. I agree with the quote, but I don't engage in these sorts of viral pass on the email, pass on the message, or mimic the status message things. Sometimes these things wind up working their way into a social engineering attack. (Think the "I love you" virus.)

I've seen it, but haven't posted it. In a way I agree, but I do not support Nationalized Health Care, so that's why I won't post it. I believe we should find another option for those who don't have their own health insurance, but I do not want to see us go to a totally Free Health Care. I think that would cause a lot more problems than it would solve.

Yes, I've seen statement that on several Facebook friends statuses today!!! I agree with the statement and have just given each of those friends a "like" thumbs up for it. I, however, did not post it for my status . . . I'm not into these pass along messages - either on Facebook or via email. Maybe I am just selfish and want to post something "personal" as I always do for my status.

What is posting your status? fwiw, I agree with the sentiment. However, a lot of people go broke by getting sick because they live beyond their means and don't save anything. I don't deny it's a real problem but we've got to get back to a sane way of looking at personal finances. While I know that most people right now don't have two nickels to rub together, or maybe don't even have a job, when and if things get better everyone should save what they can even if it means some sacrifice.
