I always bring work home from the office. Seems like there's never enough time to finish everything. Sometimes I get to it at home, sometimes not. Do you bring work home?

When I was still working as an accounting assistant, I always bring home work, even on weekends.. I think I didn't really have a life then... Though now that I have transferred to a less stressful work, I never ever bring home work, and I usually go home early.. that is one of the perks I have in my current job.. and I just love it, even if the pay is not that good.. I think I'll take less stress to more money.

That's great that you have a less stressful job now. I've been working at my company for over 12 years, and just can't see moving to a new job willingly right now in this work environment. It would be nice to have a less stressful job where I can leave early. Enjoy. Thanks for sharing.

Not unless I absolutely have to!!! Home is for the family, for chilling out, for housework, etc. Work is for work.

I agree. But, I'm always trying to catch up. I normally will spend time with family and do stuff around the house. I will stay up after everyone's in bed and catch up with work. Vacation next week! I can't wait to sleep! Thanks for sharing!

Yes, sometimes I bring the office work to home, although I will get paid if I work overtime in the office. My office is very far away from my house and the transportation is vey incovinient. So if the work is very urgent, I have to take my PC home to finish it.

You work into the home to prove that you are a very sincere practical staff, the boss love with this staff, but some bosses would think that this is your working hours have not done your job, you it is should be copies. My husband last year in the year overseas business trip together at home and also spent less than three months, Saturdays and Sundays to work overtime, statutory holidays without a break, dry to ten o'clock at night, to count the estimated increase of more than 20 classes the final count of how do you know the boss do? The boss told them they add together to do one day of classes two days to do overtime, at the end of ID cards when the number of days according to wage hit Cary, too dark, and the boss says, you work overtime that is you should do the work of not finished the job because ... ... So, since it is done voluntarily, on the balance of these, but also to pay a voluntary return? Time can be an amateur and friends shopping, fitness, swimming, playing and so on, to make their lives more abundant, so that could be better.

I am a dedicated employee too, always working overtime, but no call-back fee. Sometimes i think it's unfair. But what can i do espicially in the recession . I love my work ,but also the family life is very important for me.

as much as possible, i shy away doing office work at home. but in cases of urgency and expediency, i am personally obligated to do it especially if the load is too heavy that working hours in the office aren't just enough to finish within the time frame. i feel i need to be flexible, after all, work is where i get my bread and butter. God bless!

I used to. Not very often though because I hate having to work late at night when I ought to be sleeping or doing the things that I'd rather do. Oh, except when I was a part-time university instructor -- it's almost a part of your job description. That's why I just concentrated on doing office work.

oh i bring work home too... You are right, there is never enough time to finish everything especially if you out for client calls or be toxic over phone queries. I know it is unfair as i should be enjoying family time but i really cant get the work done in the normal 8-hour office day. Sometimes, even before i sleep, i think im so pathetic. much worse, i think im an inefficient employee. I look at my officemates and there are also a quite number of them who takes work home also. Sometimes i wished, hey... time... can you please slow down so that i can catch up? Also, i dont want to rush stuff in the office because i might be prone to errors and i might even overlook some important figures which could mean losses for the company. I love my job. Am i simply poor in time management? I could assure you that i am doing my best as much as any dedicated employee would. and you know what... with the recession today.. we couldnt even hire additional headcount. sometimes, i even report for work on a saturday to get my work done...
