Most of rich people are on certain religious community, e.g. in Christianity, Buddhism, and so on. But most poor people also are on certain religious community. Do you find an important relation between richness and religion? Are there any teachings of certain religions giving a contribution people to be rich or to be poor?

No chance. If all christians were rich, we wouldnt see so many people in poverty in Africa, where people follow christianity. If all muslim coountries were rich, then countries like Pakistan and bangladesh wouldnt ave been so much in bad shape. Not all Buddhists are rich. Most of them are livig outside their country, Tibet and hence are refugees in some countries. They get aid from UNO and other organistions. Richness of a country or people depends on their industrious and entrepreneurship. Where there is laziness, there is poverty..tx

presumably your talking about Western countries - or just America, but even there not all Christiens are the rich hypocrites who bileve God wants them to make as much money as possible because they deserve it because they're holy. Biblical Christianity includes tithing, giving 10% of your income to the faith, the bible also includes warnings against storing up treasure on earth instead of spiritual riches in Heaven, calls the love of money the root of all evil and Jesus preached against the attachment to wealth saying it was easier for a camel to enter the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of Heaven, and told someone they needed to give their money away in order to be saved.

It also says that "true religion and undefiled is this: to help the widow and the orphan in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world." [Mark 1:27] If you think Christians here are rich it is because you watch television evangelists. They are the only ones I know that have money. Most Christians are just regular folks. Like jend says, we go after riches in heaven, not here on earth.

I dont think there is any relationship between richness and religion. They both are totally different from one another untill a rich man buys a poor man's reigion.I mean I have seen many cases where people pay for changing religion.
