i have to admit that i am guilty of this. small things as bond paper, paper clips, folder fasteners, staple wires, ballpen, envelopes find their route from the office to the house, lol.
i know that other co-employees are doing it too, even the head of office.
have, u at one point, done this too?

I don't pilfer but I do take things home.
I exchange them for the 5 or 10 extra minutes of my life that I leave there at the beginning or end of every shift. That, during a lifetime, adds up but my boss would always owe me more than I could ever exchange as once you have a few pens and pencils there is not much you can do with them, except write - and if you're at work you're using the ones there anyway
Should I set up a stall at the market?

thanks. i use the word "pilfer" because the things we take home are, in fact, company's properties. they are supposed to be used while at work... (on the other hand, it is also a fact that i bring home work, too).

Well you have a very valid reason
to take home some tools of the trade then!

hahaha, sometimes we make reasons to justify our actions. i bring home an office pen when i bring work at home and i bring it back so i could use it there at work the following day... especially if the pen is a nice one.
i admit though that i bring a pen because it is convenient to own (not walking to the store to buy one and most of all ... it is free!!) lol

I really appreciate your frankness in admitting such acts on the global platform. There are many people doing these kinds of things is true but this should not be a logical reason for every one else to continue such acts.
There are many others committing serious crimes than these. Will we try doing that too? Here in such acts of ours lies the seeds of future rotten generation. Our children gets influenced by our actions. They too follow our path. We ourselves spoil the children and the next coming generation.
I never did any such acts in my life nor I allow others to do such things. We have been taught by our parents and elders not to touch others things which does not belong to us. Any thing that is not ours is NOT OURS. PERIOD.

thank u. that should be the ideal.
but as it is, it has been the fact. we should certainly avoid doing this though as it is wrong.

Yes, I too hold my hands up and admit that I used to pilfer office supplies, mind you I know darn well that I wasn't the only one! I would take things like pens and paper etc, but not big things like staplers or other gadgets. The company was very wasteful, and I used to see so much being thrown into the bin, sometimes I would rescue it, because it was plain paper that had a bit of writing on it or sometimes even paper which hadn't been used was scrapped! I used to bring the paper home and give to my cousins children to draw on. Waste not want not! I guess the pens were probably the real pilfered things, but a big company ain't going to miss a few pens here and there I guess.

Hi, I don't know if it's pilferage but yes I have brought some office supplies home mostly bondpaper.
The first time was I had to bring home my report and print it at home so I had to bring bondpaper but I was bringing more than needed. Then i would also bring paper clips especially if they're cute with all the cute colors. Actually I am friends with the secretary and well there's really a lot of unused supplies and every month there's a budget for it anyway.

I have to admit too that I do it in my office too and I take envelopes, staple wires, pens, folder, papers, clips, punch, mouse at home. Once I even took a telephone to go home actually we have many telephones here and we were given two in each office, when I took the two phone in my office I found a third one already in use so I took it at home, and one day one mate told me that she had done it too.
