just the other day i was having an agreement with one of my friends who was cursing the way facebook is wasting other peoples' time since every time he walks in to a cyber he find the same people he left there several hours ago and they have not moved out the facebook page and he was wondering that how come do this people have so much time to spend on facebook. one thinfg he never realised that facebook is addictive and most of my friends tell me that. i was wondering about the other users because me i hold a liberal opinion about it. so what about you? do you love or hate facebook? what are your reasons for doing so? we are polling this at www dot blogspot dot com and we are requesting you to log in to the sidebar there is a poll section and give your opinions and also gives us your opinion here.

... nice discussion. I neither hate nor love Facebook. I do think that it's one of the best things that happened in the internet world. It's amazing how it has beat Friendster and how even older people are hooked to it. The thing that I consider to be best thing that has happened online is Twitter

I personally love Facebook! I admit that I am a Facebook addict, though I don't consider it to be the "best" thing to have ever occured online. I will say it's been a great communication tool for me . . . I will sit on my emails, whereas with Facebook I am quick to get back to everyone. With the status updates, photos, and everything else, I can update everyone all at the same time and not have to repeat myself or bore everyone in a long, individual email. I don't have time to talk to everyone on the phone, so it's great catching up with friends and family in this one stop site. The site is also a great search tool - I've reconnected with many people I've known in the past. I could care less about the little extras - the virtual gifts, quiz requests, groups and pages, games . . . but they are perks in which some people really get addicted to. Some people find Facebook fun, some people think there's no point to it . . . everyone is entitled to their own opinion about it. The people I know who DON'T want to get into say they have no time, or the that they don't want to get caught up in the hoopla, or don't want their privacy exploited. For the rest of us, we don't mind it at all and will make time for it!

I have to agree with your friend.. I can't stand face book and I don't see the point of it at all.. I think it was invented for people who just have no life outside their computers.. If I want to communicate with my friends there's the good old instant messengers which is just as much effective...
