Wet food is best for them. preferably, don't give them dry food like whiskas. if u want, u can try the whiskas packets (jelly food)dry food in the long run is very harmful for ur cats health. if u are worried abt ur cat, then mix fish n rice n try. u can alternately try prawns, chicken mixed in rice n feed ur cat. Also try 2 or 3 different varieties, and keep changing food. Give milk n egg in morning, fish n rice for lunch, n wet food with rice or biscuits in dinner. that way, So that, uour cat will also not get used to eat only 1 food variety. Happy Postings!

Wet food causes plaque to build up on the teeth so giving your cats some dental sticks or dry food at times is recommendable.

I checked your statement and i confirmed i was wrong too.. I am sorry Kool.. actually i typed what my friend(?)said as he have two pets in his home. Real fact is Wet food or canned food as the main diet for cats can cause their teeth to rot or weaken. Even cause plaque. I am not going to give any advice more.. lol.. i know you wont believe or hear me! Have a nice time! Happy Postings!

Have her spayed as soon as she is old enough. If she is not going into heat and having litters of kittens she will be healthier and live longer. The best food and veterinary care in the world will not protect her the way that spaying will and the others have already been advising you on food and shots. A spayed female does not wander as much; is not in as much contact with other cats that may or may not be carrying diseases and parasites; and does not have the physical stress of repeated pregnancy and nursing.

Is your cat comes from a breed? Did you just bought it? As of experience, I feed my cats with fresh milk. I even have a vitamins for them and even vitamin C. I do listened to a veterinarian's advice on how to take care of them. I even put my cats on vaccine. Actually it was subject to once ayear injection but I can only afford a one time vaccine and if I was lucky that year, I go for another vaccine.

I always tried to keep my cats healthy and at first i was getting them only organic food and thought it was great. I soon learned that there is a way to keep them healthier for much less money. I now get them organic meat and wild cought fish, sometimes i also get them organic liver and i give it to them raw. I also grow wheat grass for them, without grass they get a little constipated, so it's a must. Since i started feeding them raw food, they became much stronger and healthier. There was an experiment done on generations of cats, and the result was great. Cats who ate only raw food were much healthier, never got cancer and had better psychological health. Cats who ate only cooked food were much sicker, got many diseases including cancer and were antisocial. It took only 4-5 generations to show the result on cats, each generation was fead the same way as the one before. This study is the reason i started feeding my cats raw food.

The very first thing I did when I decided I was going to get a cat was go to the library and check out books on feline diet, health, behavior, and yes, feline psychology. Personally, I found these things to be best for me and my cats in their environment. The best food I found is a brand called Nutro, or Nutro Max. It's natural, it's formulated so that your cat's feces doesn't smell anywhere near as bad as with other foods, and it has brewer's yeast, a natural flea and tick repellent. While it's okay to give people-food treats, it's best to make sure your cat's main sustenance is their cat food, which is formulated for their nutritional needs. One of the things to remember: if it's bad for us, it's good for cats. Chicken fat, chicken skin, butter, beef fat -- all those things are great for cats, for their skin and especially their coat. This will make a big difference if you have a medium or long hair cat. My best recommendation is to go to your local library and check out a book or two, if you really want to do right by your cat. There's nothing like firsthand knowledge. Good luck with your kitty -- and make sure you learn about ash content!!

We have a lovable little girl that is 17 years old. She has never had a problem with plaque on her teeth. The vet estimated that she looked maybe 12 years old. Here is what we did. We feed an organic highly nutritious food. We use the Newman's Own Dry Cat Food for Senior Cats. We always keep their bowls filled with this staple. We have never had an overweight cat or a cat with tartar on their teeth. From time to time we do feed either organic meat or Newman's Own canned cat food for a treat. The point is to feed something that does not have a ton of additives and junk in the food. Your cat will only be as healthy as the food you feed them. We keep our cats indoors so we make sure to give them fresh water and also some wheat grass or digestion. I have other articles on my blog that goes into other areas of helping cats. That we have used. The articles are too long to retype here but I have given you the basics that have worked for our kitties. I wish your cat a long and healthy life. Thank you for taking so much care.
