cordless phone

Whenever we purchased a new cordless phone, it wont last longer. When there is any voltage fluctuation, it will stop working and when we take it to repair, the man in the workshop says that they wont repair the Chinese items, it is only use and throw types. Again we purchased another Standard one. Again it has gone after 1 year. This time we got it repaired. This time to be on the safer side, we fixed it to a spike buster, which takes care of the voltage fluctuation. Are all the cordless phones will get damaged during the heavy rains with loud thunder and lightning?

I don't have a cordless phone at home because it is not necessary for me. I think the normal phone with works better for me. Besides, the normal phones are less expensive. I have one in the living-room and another one in my bedroom.

We too have one normal phone which was provided by the telephone Dept. while giving the connection. But we thought cordless is convenient and we can take it everywhere and we can also do our work with the other hand or simply i will go out and sit in our lawns, enjoying the cool breeze in the evening or fresh air in the morning and converse. So i have bought it.
