Yet another Friday night spent at home

I can't even remember the last time I went out on a Friday night. I know it was before my daughter was born. My son was probably my daughters age the last time I went out on a Friday night. So I guess it has been about 7 years. I really do have no social life. So, who else is sitting at home with no plans on a Friday night? If you could go out what would you be doing tonight?

i am sitting at home as well but i do that every day all day with the children while my husband is at camp with one of his friends , which did not make me happy at all because the kids bearly see him as it is , and when i talked to him about me not likeing the idea of him going he just said what i can't get me time, hes going to be gone until monday no one needs that much time . i feel that is was wrong because when you have children you can't just get up and go and do what you want and go where ever you want. i am so very mad at him so sence he went camping i took the children to the mall shopping and put some clothes on layaway for my daughter because all her winter clothes don't fit she is 16 months but her clothes that say 18 months don't fit her they are to small so i had to get her 24 months . and then i went and got my 11 year old and 7 year old son some more school supply and then me and my 4 children went to eat, so i say forget him, i will have fun with the children like i always do when hes at work or something, the only time i go out is when i get my nails done every few weeks and thats only for a couple of hours then i am back home again. if i could go out i would not know what i would do because it's been so long.

I am a single mom, so getting some me time is rare. Neither of the kids see their dad's, so I am the one taking care of them all the time. If I could afford a babysitter I still don't know what I would go out and do. Not cool that he gets days of "me" time and you get no break at all.

My son's father has never really been in his life. He is not in his other kids lives much at all either. I made the comment once that it must be nice being able to walk around all day with the freedom of no kids. He got mad, but you know he is a horrible father.

my husband is a good father its just they don't see him much because hes aways working so its not like he just don't want to be , but it just makes me mad that he left , also he knows we do family day on sundays but hes not comming home until monday so there goes that , it just makes me mad because we only really get one day a week together because of his full time job and his own bussiness it just makes things hard so we set a day for him to not go to work at all because he already has sundays off at his full time job so he was supose to be here but now he will not be so we have to do another family thing with out him,

Hey, at least you have kids as a reason not to be a social butterfly. I have no children. Granted, my health is pretty darn bad, but I'd still like to be out and about on a Friday night. Although frankly, I'd rather be out on a Thursday night. Fridays are always a crush! Restaurants, movies...it's practically claustrophobic.

I know what you mean about the way places are on the weekends. I REALLY do not want to deal with it with 2 kids in tow. I am not big on crowds.

What is hindering you from going out on a Friday night? I am a mother too so I now how you feel. I am not the type of woman who loves going out at night hanging out with friends. I would rather hang out with them during day time at one of my friend's home or at my place. If you feel like you no longer have a social life, then be more active in websites such as mylot or go to social network sites and meet people.

I have 2 kids, so it is not an easy thing getting to go out. I would have to pay a babysitter and by the time I got done doing that I would not really have any money to go out with.

I too am a mom with no life. I am sitting at home typing away on Mylot trying to make a few extra bucks because I have no job and no social life as well. If I were able to go out I guess I would be out with my single friends having fun at the club or going to the movies maybe. I have not been to a movie in years because my kids are too little and too impatient to sit still in a movie theater for a long time and its too much of a hassle for me to chase them around anyways. lol

I go to the movies with my kids. I don't even remember the last non kid movie I saw in the theater though. It has been at least a year. I went with my sister in law while my brother watched the kids.
