Is possible for alerting members that the particular discussion was already posted by someone. Then there will not be any confusion. What is your suggestion.

i disagree because some topics might not get a response so you need to post the discussion some where else. or some discussions only got one or two responses then you need to ask another question with the same info and the same question because your not sure about the answer. i mean its not fair to delete someone discussion because its been asked before what they didn't even know you could search it up above because there new i'm just saying that a discussion should only be deleted if it offends lots of people or if its talking bad about another member or something else dastric not because the question has already been asked before. because the new members haven't seen the questions before and its new them also because different people with different opinions and answers. so i think there should be duplicate questions for those reasons!

You have a point there! If the topics were similar but the concepts were viewed on different angles, it can be called as different discussions. But when the topics and its thought are similar, it can be considered as duplicate discussions and the later discussions of the same topic except on the first one is subject to deletion unless the first one to be posted also violated the rules. Anyway, when you see new users, you can guide them and tell about using the search box before posting a discussion to avoid it from getting deleted due to violation. You can also teach them the other things a new user must know. Just like what mysd was doing, as well as me and other users who are willing to help the new ones. Have a nice day!

Hi,it. really interesting.I have not thought in that direction,i mean new members case. There is a lot of chance to post the discussions which already posted by senior members. It will take time to every new member to get acquitance with the old discussions.Thank you and all the best.

Good day, Baluyadav! Well, maybe coincidence was the reason for that. The worst thing is when similar discussions have same content from different users and that would be considered as plagiarism. Anyway, the only way to avoid that is to use the search box on the top before starting a discussion. It is to check whether the topic you want to post already exists. If it is, its up to you whether you continue posting it or not. Have a nice day!

Well, I'm glad to help others even by that little advice. In that way, it can help us to avoid getting upset when our discussions got deleted due to the 'repeated topic' violation. My friend told me about that and I found it very useful so I'm just sharing it.
