I'm not a Democrat, but I don't believe the President has a "socialist" agenda, and I think that those using false terms, fear mongering and generally following the daily talking points aren't helping my Republican party at all. But that's just me...

No, I don't. Some people think that socialist government promote equality. It doesn't. It only strengthens the Government's hold on the people and takes away most liberties. Whether or not he is really a socialist is debatable but his idea of having the Government control a lot of aspects is disturbing.

I'm wondering what makes people think that the President himself wishes to have the government (which is us) control "a lot of aspects". And also, which aspects. I'm seriously wondering.

Wanting to have complete control over health care is already " a lot of aspects" to me because the health care system entails many different organizations, not limited to health care but it also includes insurance.
