So many fires and so little water!!

What are we to do? There has been a shortage of rain the last 3 years, here in California and now we are facing all these fires (Again!!). I wish there was a good answer for this question as to how can we prevent all of the fires in the first place? My husband heard that we are to get an "El Nino" this year and that is (sort of) good news. The bad part is that with all the fires, there will be a lot of landslides! Any good thoughts?

It is very hard to prevent these huge fires you're suffering. I think that government should launch educational campaign telling people what shouldn't be done in forest or maybe even set restrictions for entering large forest areas for hot seasons. Even if people would understand the cause of forest fires and will try to avoid causing one, there are still some stupid psychos who have passion for set things on fire. These sick people don't even understand, what they are doing and how massive is damage caused by them.

Well, that's the other story. I thought you were talking about these big forest fires that I've seen on TV. But yea, letting your car break down and cause serious consequences is also carelessness.

Thank you for your response. One of the firse was caused by a car over heating in this very hot area and not by carelessness. Although not taking care of your car can be considered careless?

We can start changing the world from changing ourselves, then others :)
