I have heard that the building of the new stadium for Liverpool.F.C has been postponed for the forseeable future. Do you think that this is the right decision in the current economical climate?? .Will it have a negative impact on the club. ???

LFC will miss out more earning opportunities if the construction of the new stadium is being delayed. With massive supporters base, the bigger stadium will be able to generate more income like Manchester United to buy good players. Of course, due to the current financial downturn the plan of the new stadium which have been shelved will definitely cost the a substantial income. A bigger and new stadium will make more fans happier :)

Liverpool fans will be happier as the waiting list at the moment to get a season ticket is about five years ????????? So there should be no problem filling a new stadium....

Hi CEVCEV, I think the reason behind the delay of the new stadium building is lack of money. The Americans never want to put the own money to this club. All the money they use to bought this club is from loan. And they have a huge debt to the bank. The bank also didn't want to release a new load since they have a problem with their pay back. They have to sold Alonso to pay the interest. So, they will never build the new stadium unless there is a change in ownership. It is actually have a bad impact to the club. If they can build a larger stadium, more people can attend the games. That mean more money will flow in. They can use the money to buy a players or do something that will bring benefit the club. But, if they build it from the money they loaned from bank, it would give a bad effect to the balance sheet for the short term. They have to pay a lot more interest and if the revenue from the games attendance can't match the interest, it is actually a bad move.
