Melanie Oudin knocks off another ranked player in three sets. Sharapova even tried to rattle her with an injury timeout when it looked liked the 17 year old Oudin was going to run away with the third set and, although it slowed her down, she recouped and won the set 7-5. Now how will she do against a third Russian ranked player when whe goes against Petrova next?

Where is this Melanie Oudin from? And well, it's rather well known you don't have to be that great of a player to mean Sharapova. I mean, sure, she's alright but she's overrated. She earns more money in merchandise and publicity than she gets for playing tennis and that says all.

Oudin is from the state of Georgia in the U.S.A. and Sharapova is a former number one in the world player who has won Wimbledon and the U S Open in the past and has the repitation of having the most determined fighting spirit of any women's player on the tour.

That was surprise upset but I personally feel that Sharpova is not yet 100% fit. She is still need to work on her fitness levels. Wow what an start by Oudin and I hope she wins US open create history. Petrova is not having potentiality of winning a grand slam, she will loose in coming days. I hope that Sharpova have to stop grunting too much due to which she is losing lot of energy... Let us see whether she will stop that shouting which is very irritating to other players..
