DIET - Good or Bad?

Hi These days i find people have become to concious about what they eat. I feel that being concious is fine but dieting and starving is not such a good idea... So share on your thoughts. DIET - Good or Bad?

Hi dolmitta I think diets are a good thing, if it is balanced and used correctly, not to the extreme. A diet shouldn't be about starving yourself, if you are then you are not following the diet properly

I am on diet. Lol. I have been repeating the same sentence for a long time, but I am not really on diet.I am fond of food and forget about my diet whenever I come across good dishes. My weight came down to a small extent by continuous exercise and morning walk, but good food.....I'm sorry..I can't control.....it is my weakness.

What I know about diet is about what we eat and how often we eat. not to 'starve' oneself to be thin. It is a wrong notion that diet means to eat less. For example, eating more but those food which is good for us (good but not too much) and eating less but those with too much sugar/salt/fats in it (which is bad even we eat less).

Hi there and smile. Diet (nutrition), the sum of the food consumed by an organism or group. Dieting, the deliberate selection of food to control body weight or nutrient intake. Diet food, foods that aid in dieting . Diet doesnt mean starving. As with the meaning above it refers to the food we eat. Its depends on the food we choose that makes our diet good or bad. When you are too much on fatty diets or low sugar diet or high fiber diet. Health professionals highly recommend a diet rich in fibers and low sugar. It is good especially when you want to maintain a healthy weight. When you try not to eat and starve, that doesnt mean your in a good diet either. happy mylotting and smile always!

Dieting and starving is really not a good idea and I have preferred to go to a gym to be able to eat what I want without too much bothering about the weight because I know I will be losing them in the gym. It is good to eat a balanced meal than eating much and then doing dieting or starvation.

Dieting is a good thing to help yourself fit and strong. But at the same time you should not be starving. It is that havng the right food at the right time. Also, doing exercise and yoga is also dieting. Eating healthy foods like fruits, green vegetables makes you feel fresh and also a good diet supplement for people who feel diet conscious. I think in a way is good, but at the extent to which people take it...:)

It is good that people are becoming conscious of what they eat. Starvation is definitely out. Diet actually means eating properly. Human body needs essential nutrients to stay healthy. Starvation leads to malnutrition which is dangerous. Obesity needs a low fat diet, diabetes a low carb diet and hyper tension a low salt diet. Before going on a diet a nutrition expert has to be consulted for the proper diet to get good results. This will qualify a diet to be good or bad.
