Ok this is driving me nuts, all i know is that its obviously waterfowl and that im pretty sure it isnt native to North America lol! Its a gorgeous bird and i cant even tell how big it is. the long tail is certainly unusual but the white head and neck are even more so..at least in my limited knowledge of worldly waterfowl. Does anybody know what its called? or even what country it comes from, that could help my searches at least!

That's a very nice picture of a waterfowl. I am amazed as well. I have searched this site: http://www.e-barrett.com/page73.htm and found a lot of different types of birds there. Then i saw the pintail bird. I think that's the closest one i can get among others. Hope this site helped you even a bit.

that is closer than anything ive come across! although from the picture i get the impression its got more of a cranes type of beak instead of the duckbill (even though the Pintail's bill is quite slender) Hey thanks for the link to that site, it has lots of great pics!

After an hour of searching and browsing the internet, I think that bird is already a cross breed of two different birds. So hard to find one like it. I hope we can run to a bird expert on this one. These are some of the suspects for that beautiful creature. Long tailed ducks, pintail and lastly, this site: http://www.flickr.com/photos/sprint8/3342073511/ Where did you get the picture anyway? There must be some details attached to it.
