Big busy day, but MyLot allure is too great. So, I get here - to find a MyLot thread from someone scamming the rules!!!!!!!! So, I type up a loooooonnnnngggggg post explaining exactly WHY MyLot doesn't let newbies c and p links - hit return, and ... discussion no longer exists. Removed due to violoation. Uh-huh. Would have been nice had I got this message BEFORE I started a reply. All of which leads to - did it get removed before or during my typing session? I humbly think the latter, meaning I spend far too long typing my posts. Not. I love it!

If the box opens and allows us to respond then the discussion has not yet been deleted. It then happens while we are composing the response and THEN when we submit do we get the surprise. Been happening a heck of a lot recently too. Guess they are having a clamp down on offenders - and about time too!

Glad to know I'm not the only one it happens to. So it's not just my 2 fingers and umpteen thumbs, then?

There are two Mikes on here and both can confirm that we are all in this together. Our posts go to the garbage several times evry day trying to help out these offenders. I am beginning to think that some don't even bother to read our efforts when they do get posted

jazzsue58, i can relate to what you feel. i think it will really be of help if there will be PROMPT for us mylot users to know if a particular discussion is deleted due to some violations of mylot rules. what do you think are the signs that a discussion is violating a rule of mylot? i know that we need to refer to mylot rules from time to time but due to excitement respond to as many discussions as we want sometimes we overlook the fact that such discussion is violating a rule. enjoy mylot-ing

yes its not only happened to me while trying to post back but its happened to my discussion of my own while trying to reply you know sometimes though it seems mylot removes discussions where you dont see one thing wrong with it and they dont even tell you why and you turn right around and find a discussion that you know is against the rules and it stays forever. what the is that about??

I must admit, I've never been deleted from my own discussion! Man, that's some bad karma. You're right. It annoys me when innocent MyLotter posts get deleted, while others flagrantly breaking the rules remain. Makes me wonder what the trolls have to do with it all.

Hey there jazzsue58 That sure is annoyig isn't it? When I hadn't reached 500 posts it would happen to me frequently, nothing to do with the discussion being deleted I was responding to just me taking too long I think to say what I wanted to. It would just not register what I had typed and I would have to start all over again but be quicker about it. Since I passed 500 posts I have not had the problem!!

Nah. S'not your fault. They're just too damn quick with the red pen, sometimes.

You definitely waste your time, but without mylot, you will select facebook or twitter. People always need something to waste their lives, since you can still earn a little bit money from mylot. It is not bad one.

Wasting their lives? Hahaha which is more of a waste - the soaps on tele or the soaps online?

Do you know, my kids warble away on facebook and twitter, but I could never be bothered. Much nicer twittering away to you lot!

Lol, I like the fact that you see the humourous side to what happened. I have never been in a situation like this before, where my response to a post could not be posted because the post had been deleted whilst I was typing away! I guess your post was really as long as you say it was!

It helps to have a sense of humour here, believe me!

Personally for me, when I see discussions here that are against the TOS, I will gladly help Report them without making a comment and hope in time the person starting the discussion learns what went wrong, and post something better in here from now on. I am really cautious in what I respond back too myself from time to time as I am afraid of this happening for me sometime as well. But all we can do is continue to post, and wish for the Best from there.

Mylot will definitely help with your typing speed since you seem to be as addicted to the site as everyone else is. Yes, there are a lot of discussions that feature things against guidelines, and while your fingers are itching to type and begin to do so... it gets deleted! phhooey am I right? Well I hope you have a wonderful day!

hi jazz, I understand what you are trying to say. I have not had this thing before but i have replied to so many discussions which have been deleted and many did have long 15 line responses too. Now i am wiser and donot waste my time which has links or violate guidelines because i know they would be deleted. But what i really hate is i write a long response and (i am not yet 500 post old so no use of coping it as i can not paste it again) then when i hit post response i find that i have been disconnected from the net or mylot page is not available . which really gets me angry because if you refersh the page even then your repsonse is lost and you see post response button but you have to reply again which is very frustrating.
