Hi Flower, That must depend by yourself. I like desktop computer, as I feel it's easier to operate, in addition, I seldom need a computer when I am out, I have computer at home, and ofice. Anyway, if you alway on trip, you might need a laptop.

I prefer desktop computer since it is affordable and also user friendly....i.e. say u ready to spend 30,000 rupees(indian currency approx 600$) Laptop: u can get good dual core processor,250 Gb hard disk and say 2Gb ram... may be sufficient for office work,watching movies, not suitable to play high end games. Desktop: For the same amount u can get good dual core processor, 500Gb hard disk, 4Gb Ram, 1Gb DDR3 geforce graphics card, branded 5.1 channel speakers.This configuration is suitable for office work, u can play some of the most latest games without any lag in gameplay.. u can experience the best gaming.... work with some of the hish end software... without any jerking experience. so i prefer desktop over laptop... to experience best performance in home n office.

See, it demands upon you needs. If you want mobility and light weightnes, you should consider buying a laptop. But if you want power at one place, consider a desktop as desktop are generally more powerful than laptops. If u want both, ck\heck alienware.com

It depends how are you going to use it, if you are always in meeting or in travel you can buy a laptop but if you want your PC serves as a mini server at your home you can buy a desktop.

Well it's just depends upon your usage. both are the best from their point.. if you want to use your system just at home.. or buying just for gaming and entertainment purpose. then desktop is better choise.. if you need useful work which need to be completed on the way, or you are computer programmer or do any hardware or software or computer support stuff.. laptop is better.

It do depends on how you gonna use your computer. Basically, with the same amount of money, the desktop you get will always have higher specification than laptop, for example, graphic card. Desktop can outperform the laptop in speed, as well as harddisk memory. If you always use your computer at home, I strongly suggest you get a desktop, as laptop tends to get hot easily. Even a laptop with the same specification may still perform poorer than desktop, especially if you multitask often. However, if you have to bring it out very often, for example, to school, project presentation etc, it will be more convenient to have a laptop. Sacrificing some specifications for portability does worth it. Hope I helped ;)

well, it depends on where you use it. if you just use it at home then desktop will be preferred since it's easier to fix or find parts if there's problem. u can also easily upgrade it by just adding parts on the cpu. if you are always on the go, then laptop suits you. I also just bought a pc last month and i chose a laptop even though i don't travel much but i considered it's portability and space. i just bought a laptop stand with cooling fan so it won't overheat even i use it 12hours more regularly.^^;

It would be nice if you purchase laptop instead of a dektop why because laptop can carried when ever you need it if you some presentations to present of course why not use usb drive instead to present but every pc out there in not the same as yours like programs installed but with your laptop there would be no problem at all. But in the end it really depend on your case.

Hi Flower87, If you need the comfort of mobility and you have some extra bucks to spend go for a high end laptop. That would serve you as a great companion on the move. If you need the power-packed performance and are willing to settle in one place while operating the computer, get yourself a high-end desktop PC or Mac. That would deliver you the power with performance and would cost you much lesser than a laptop. If I were you I would go with Laptop personally as it as more advantages and serves all purposes as desktop PC plus more.

i think it depends completely on you, i would recommend you a desktop pc if you don't move much and don't want to spend some more$$. you can get a good desktop pc in the price range of a laptop, so i would recommend a desktop but it depends on you for what reason are you buying a computer.
