Do you think more that one wife is ok?

I personally think you should have one wife. I don't think two wifes are acceptable and not legal in most states. I belive if you marry someone it should be a commitment to that one special person. To be so called committed to two people is not a commitment to be. Having two or more wife just means you have wandering eyes for others and definetley not faithful in my eyes. The ideas of having more than one wife is not right at all. I know some people believe in that sort of thing but it's not for me and should be banned everywhere. Adultry is agaist god to me this is adultry any way you look at it having more wives than one. I think it is bad judgement and practice. These are my thoughts on this.

It does not bother me what other people do with their lives and they can have as many wife's as they wish.
But for me if my husband ever wanted to have another wife, he would have to do it with out me being their. Because i would not stand for it. Their is no way i would ever share my man with another woman.

Hello Dlr297, Please count me too. I will not want to share my man with another woman. NO WAY! If my hubs insist wants to have more than one woman at the same time, I will just leave and let him be, but I think this is not going to happen...

I worry about the women involved. Bigamy is immediately placing the woman into an inferior role and you have to worry about the state of mind of the women who would allow themselves to be pressured into this situation.

No woman can be pressured to do wht she truely doesn't want to do. Women are the strongest creatures on earth. To be pressured is to be defeated. Woman take on waht they want to take on and most women who allow their men to have more than one woman, is more than ok with it. Does it mean that it's wrong?

Well clearly women can be pressured to do things they don't want to. It happens every day. If they didn't there wouldn't be such a thing as an abusive relationship, which is my concern about these kinds of situations.

Somewhat true but an abusive relationship takes two people. I'm sure no real woman wants to be abused and continuing to be abuse is a chose, bottom line. If you have a problem with you man having another woman outside of you then leaving is ALWAYS an option.

Bigamy is illegal in most of the countries in the world. It will create many problems in family life. The children (innocent) may be affected too.It is better to be content with one wife.Let us play a safe game here, hehehe.

I think it complicates things to have more than one wife. It is hard enough to meet the needs required to make one relationship work successfully, let alone trying to juggle more than one. It tends to lead to jealous feelings which are not good for anyone.

I feel that people should have more than one wife. Only then, people can feel happy. If you have only one wife, then you are bound to feel miserable. If you want to feel happy in life, then you should have many wives.
It has nothing to do with being faithful. You can be faithful to more than one person, just as you can have plenty of friends. Nobody says you should have only one friend because otherwise, you would not be faithful to him.

did you know in most African cultures it is legal to have more than one wife? And they live happily, hardly any divorce. It is better to be honest with oneself. Many people have only one legal wife but one the side they are having affairs left right and center. Lets be honest shouldn't someone just come out and say that would love to have two wives instead of cheating on the one. what is the difference of having more than one wife and cheating on your wife?

i completely agree with u that having more than one wife without any geniune reason definitely is wrong practice ;but i feel its better than having one wife and too many girlfriends. i mean its more about being committed than having official partners or unofficial ones. what should be encouraged is respect for ones partner and the ability to stay committed in ahealthy relationship.

Yes, agree with tuckersheri. One wife is enough! More than enough! You should be thankful for wife you get. How can you give your love to someone else and share your dream with another lady ? Impossible. It's difficult to serve 2 masters, because if you serve one then you betray another one. It's simple, isn't it ??? Our thoughts are similar! =)

Having wife of more than one is not good. Yes, you are right at that point. Same also with woman who has two or more husband. Both parties for me of having affair to anybody and marry them is against the law of love... if you are already married. But if you could feel your in love, let it be but, kept it in yourself. To love and to be love is a wonderful feelings. But, avoid commitment to those who are commited.

I often hear my hubby says one wife is enough because women is troublesome and more than one will only bring him problems more than anything... so I would assume it is true?

For me, I just think so simple, one man + one woman = happy family. I don't think any of the woman in this life will like to share their man with others. I would never want to share my husband with others. And now I suddenly think of one question, Do you think more than one hubs is okay? Maybe this can be your next discussion, LOL.
In my country here, Muslims can have more than one wife if he gets the first wife agree.

In the long long past in our country men were allowed to have more than one wives . Of course now in law men are only allowed to have one wife . In the real society some rich men do have more than "two wives" . At home there's an orginal , legal wife and outside they also have lovers . I'm strongly against this kind of behaviour but it's very popular now in our society.

First of all, to each his own. I don't mean any disrespect to anyone's beliefs.
However...
I personally believe that you can only truly love ONE person with all your heart. If you did love a number of women, that isn't really love. It can just be infatuation or appreciation...and maybe a different kind of love.
I think men should only be allowed to have ONE wife.
Why is it that men are allowed to have multiple spouses and women aren't? That kind of law/belief was created BY man FOR man. I don't buy it.

neither me,I don't agree it is right to have more than one wife,I the man who care too much about the feeling of the other people,and I do believe that gilrs/women get much more serious in that.So,if i really find my belove one,I won't look at any otherelse? you know it is important to trust in each other,and our beloved one can not be changable,so,to be a true man,I won't let my beloved one get any hurt & a I can only love her for the rest of my life.

I totally agree with you on this one. A marriage is a sacred thing between the 2 of you and God. God did not state anywhere that we were to have multiple spouses and I believe that he would be disgusted at the fact that people think differently.

I am with you, I believe it is wrong and unwise.
I don't really think, deep down, any woman is ok with that. Maybe they believe it is right because of religious beliefs or something, but they must be suppressing some feelings about it, I would have thought - judging by every woman I've ever known!!
Its hard to imagine, I suppose you would have had to be brought up with that as the norm to understand really. For me, the thought of my husband wanting another wife - well, to me, I am his wife anything beyond that is adultery however you dress it up!

According to me one wife is spritaully good and advisable to all.
Because one man think of more wife then why not woman think of same
idea of more husband. then total society made collapsed into circle.
so commited life is colorful. god will see and lead us. so one wife is
good not more. thanks.
