When you look for places you rarely have to search for them on a map anymore. So I ask you, can you name 5 countries that are not attached to the continents without looking at a map? As this thread expands, I'll make it more challenging by saying that you cannot name a country that has already been named. I'm gonna me you guys think and eliminate the incredibly obvious: 1. Iceland 2. Greenland 3. Greece 4. Japan 5. New Zealand

Hi, I think 1. Great Britain 2. Ireland 3. Madagascar 4. Sri Lanka and 5. Philippines will be totally appropriate here By the way, Greenland is a part of the Kingdom of Denmark. However, as a constituent country this is an island.

Politically speaking, not all of Ireland is a country unto itself. Northern Ireland for whatever reason belongs to great Britain, but yes I was referring to strictly geography. Asking these kind of questions is interesting because you learn new things. I want to say I've heard about "Sri Lanka" and I didn't know "Denmark" was considered a new thing. Thanks for your contribution!

I suck at georaphy. I can locate USA Italy Mexico and Canada on a map (and the only reason I can locate the last to is because they are attached to the US) however I do know most of my states capitals.
