How do you keep your home from smelling when you have cats?

I use baking soda a lot and change the litter often. I also wash the cats litterboxes on a regular basis. Opening windows to get fresh air in helps too. I use sprays too.

I hate to say it, but the only way to really get rid of the smell is to feed your cat good food. The better the food the better the cats digest it, and the less filler waste there is.

This too is very true. i didnt think to mention it. But yes if you dont want the smell at all you ahve to go about changing the cats diet. Certain food just makes for very smelly litter. Good answer!!!

Just remember to make a gradual change as all at once could upset their little tummies. Start mixing the new food in with the old and increase it a bit at a time until you've totally changed over. And if they are on soft food, switch over to hard. Soft should only be occasionally. Hard food helps clean their teeth.

I just spray into the room. I put some aromateraphy in every room. When the cat entering room, i have to take a bath it. I make some fresh smell on it bedbox. After get up from a bed, the cat will be wasting and I order to get out from the room. It's not difficult to care my cat.

I am wanting to know the same thing. I have been changing the litter box like crazy to make sure that it stays fresh. Like every time they use it. And I just bought some new fresh scent activator thing. But I have not had much luck in the types of litter. I am thinking maybe if I had that cover for the top. I have actually been really bothered by this lately as the litter has been pretty gross. I have 3 adult cats and 4 kittens right now. So thats a lot of poo.

Hi there to keep my home smelling fresh with cats I use those airwick plugin things. I find the best ones are the ones called airwick niticable. You just plug them in and there are two different scents that rotate every little while. And I also use deaderizer powder in with the kitty litter and I spray the rooms with febreeze or air freshener spray. Thats keeps most smell away and keeps my house pretty fresh.
