Is Free Will A Curse Or A Blessing?

I think free will is the greatest gift from God besides grace, forgiveness, love, a plan for us, etc. If we did not have free will, we would be like robots. I am glad that God has given us a choice. I think that mankind has a harder time with the concept of freewill. Most people like to try to control others rather than let people make up their own minds. The control a lot of times comes through fear. Religions through the ages have used this tactic. Governments and others in authority have used this tactic many times also. I will take freewill anytime. I have the freewill to accept God's love, to love God back, to have a personal relationship with Him, to love others. A robot can do none of these things. I think where we get mixed up as Christians is not really understanding that it is not God's will that any man should perish. We really don't understand to what lengths God loves us all and how strong His will is. We look at this whole scenario through our human eyes. When we ask God to see the situation of our unsaved loved ones through His eyes, we get a whole different picture.
