impolite state farm agent

My mom had car accident a week ago, and I was calling to report the accident to my state farm office. The lady who answered the phone ask me all sort of question about the accident, and I was trying my best to answer all of them. Some related question I have to tell her to "hold a second", because I really have to ask my mom. And then, from her tone of voice, she seems piss off, and unwilling to assist me. I don't really appreciate her tone since I keep up my payment to my insurances every six months. They should at least give us a little bit of appreciation, and when we really need their help, they should at least do their part. I am not trying to trouble her anything, but according to the policy paper, when it happen, I should contact the nearby agent office as soon as possible. I just don't understand this. When they ask for my business, they all put up those phony smile faces, and telling us they would do whatever they can help us and how much appreciate our businesses. When we really call for actual help, they just give us big attitude. Why should I go with them, that is the big question. They should train their agents better than this.

I suspect you just got the bad apple in the barrel. Do as you said and report the incident and pursue the claim with another agent just in case the pissed attitude got in the way of accuracy with the claim. ENJOY!

yes I did, I called the main claim office. And the other lady were so helpful and cheerful. She gave me all the guidance I needed. I also really want to file a complaint on the state farm on that agent who gave the attitude. Too bad, I didn't catch her name at the start.

That was the way it was for me when I had my insurance with allstate. I was paying on time for over year and a half. Then the first time for some reason when I had my bank pay it didn't arrive on time and they were not very nice on the phone. I think they just try and get you to have their insurance and then after that they don't care about anything but getting your money. I seriously can't stand insurance companies because they are as bad as the mafia as far as I'm concerned.

That is right? After we pay the money, we are expecting more consideration and better services from the insurance. If they can't provide us these basic needs, why should we stay, that is the whole point.

hi colrissa123 some people are just not cut out to be'workijng helping the public. You need to be kind, courteus and helpful. If you cannot do that you do not belong in a insurance office.I am sure that State Farm does have agents who are helpful and courteous but the few who are not really give the place a badname. when i was a kid my dad had insurance with a State Farm Agent and she was so kind and helpful so it just goes to show they are not all alike. They do need to be trained to keep their cool and to be helpful.

I am not saying all of the agents are like that. But since they take my money to serve us, they shouldn't treat me like that in this case. So, I don't have my right to file a complaint, that is what you are saying? I definitely gonna report it to her superior, and tell him/her exactly what she did to me.

That's just mean. If it's your insurance, obviously they need to help you when you have an accident. Maybe the agent should learn to be more patient...

I am the customer, and she works to provide the service I need it. If I am not satisfied with her service and attitude, I am more than likely to consider switch to other car insurances, such as all state, Geico, or progressive, etc..... There were millions of competition out there. Whose lost is that?
