Are you deaf?

Here's another story from Sunday's sermon about "hearing". A wife complained that her husband was so deaf that life is beginning to become difficult. A priest advised her to repeat everything she says so that her husband would hear. So the woman headed home determined to follow the priest's advice. When she opened the gate of her home, she called out "Honey, what's for lunch?" There was no answer. When she opened the door, she asked again "Honey, what's for lunch?" No answer. She placed her bags atop the living room's console and asked a third time. Still, no answer. So she went inside the kitchen and asked her husband directly on his face "Honey, what's for lunch?" Her husband looked at her exasperated and said "Are you really that deaf? I answered you already three times and you still have not heard?"
