it depends! it really depends on the other person's receptiveness and willingness to meet me too. if i am not in the situation where we are together in a room, i would like to know a little about him/her from friends. of course, i will beg off meeting him if he is known notoriously. in general, meeting new people is the first step to gaining friends. i would like to jump into that chance, considering the things in the aforementioned paragraph.

I used to dread meeting new people, was so shy I just used to cringe away but as one gets a little older we seemed to find a lot more confidence and these days I love meeting new people.. I think it is all an inner thing that holds some of us back...

Hi Jen14ed It depends on how receptive I think the other person will be to me in other words I look at the body language the face the posture if its friendly I figure sure why not? I am in general a social person I like meeting new people and at times I don't mind breaking the ice and starting a conversation, however it can also depend on what type of mood I'm in as well there are times of course when we may not be in the social mood but may find ourselves in a social situation, when thats happend to me before and I did sort of shy away not because of the other person but because I just wasn't in the mood to socialize so I kind of hung back a bit.
