most of the people in schools, colleges, offices etc. have a problem that many sotes are blocked by proxy servers.mostly blocked sites are facebook, orkut, rapidshare, game sites etc. i use a http tunnel client your freedom but its bandwidth is very low in free account.another option is using proxy sites which let us browse the net anonymously. but, they also have a problem that they do not support java scripts in orkut.so if you have better options then please convey me.

i would advise against using this in your school or office. The trouble that would be caused if your network was infected by malware. Proxy's are there for a reason and you would most likely lose your job.

I agree with you nic, if you can bypass the proxy server of your school or office still the admin can detect you.

There are many proxy sites from where you can access blocked sites. all these sites does not even require signup or registration. You can just access the, & then enter the orkut or other site address in the web page & it will take you there. You can try these sites http://www.webproxysite.com http://broxy.info http://hidemyhead.us http://sspeed.info http://facelessbook.info http://ipen.info http://ripyou.com http://www.azproxy.info http://proxycommander.com There are many more & I think these much will be more than enough. I suppose it's not an option for everyone, but personally I use VPN installed at my house to bounce me to the net, or alternatively, I use Remote Desktop in the same fashion to use my machine at home rather than the one I'm actually using. It's probably not convenient for everybody and sometimes the available bandwidth is pretty low, but at least it works, provided the port for PTPP is open.
