Ever fool one of your teachers before with a complete piece of fiction? Here's a story I still find humorous to this day...
Instead of the normal reports we conducted on books and other literary works, we were given 4 page author reports to perform...a task I took as a particularly boring one. Since the English teacher at the time liked me and my work, she gave me her favorite author, making this task even more daunting. I am a terrible procrastinator, but I figured, what the heck it worked in the past, why not wait until the last day to do this one? I waited until the final day, and, sure enough, totally forgot to go the library to get a bio on the guy...now I'm in a load of trouble...
We just happened to be going through one of this guy's books at the time, and there was a short 4 line blurb on the author on the back flap of the cover. The next day, after reading my (98%) made up biography of this author's life, I found the teacher listening with an intensity. Apparently, she had never known these facts about this author...no wonder really...I made it all up! I recieved an "A" for that task. Still proud of that to this day.
What about you? Ever come up with some creative piece of fiction to get your way out of a jam?
