This is one of the best examples of getting fooled. This happened to me some 4-5 years back when I wanted to download a movie. This was a movie of duration somewhere around 2 1/2 to 3 hours. It started to downloaded. It kept on downloading for the next 5-6 hours. Finally the download was complete.I was happy that I thought I could watch the movie.I clicked on the "play" button. To my surprise instead of the movie I saw a caption which read as "YOU ARE AN IDIOT"..The play time of the file was 3 hrs.The whole 3 hrs the same thing was on the screen.I could not beleive myself that I had been fooled. Have you ever been an idiot like this?

Since I am on a monthly download limit and have a slow connection, I don't download anything except forms needed for business or clipart from a trusted source. Why would you download a movie? Wouldn't it be better to either rent or buy a DVD?

Hello cloudwatcher, I ahve an unlimited connection. So why not utilize it?One more thing is you dont get the DVD's of the new movies just released. But we can get them even before the releases in the theatres. So why not download them?

I think we've all been tricked or fooled by things like that on the internet before. There are a lot of mean people out there who think that kind of thing is funny. I don't think it is funny, I just think it is mean.

The entire three hours on the screen fully justified the title of the movie and it proved the title is very much suitable for the viewer. Take it cool. I was joking. Even I experience many things like that it in net. Some body sent me a mail. The mail claims that the software can predict the future. We have to enter the date of birth, Name, Company's Name. Finally the result will be " You Idiot, the Company is not paying to waste the time for checking your future. Do your work" Like that I have been fooled many times by my friends forwarded mails

Are you kidding? I'm so blonde inside and out. so ya, of course I have been fooled over and over so many times. One of the best ones was on April fools day, years ago. It still stands out in my mind because I fell so completely. The rock station that I was listening to announced in amongst it's news flashes that a new law was passed that required registration for all small pets. I was living on a very tight budget and found this news devastating. I don't remember the fees but it didn't matter....it was beyond my budget and the fines for not doing so were even greater. My cat had just had kittens. We had a couple of white mice and a fish tank. I stressed all day over this and was planning a protest when they finally announced ,,,"APRIL FOOLS". What a total waste of perfectly good adrenelin! Every surprise birthday party....shower etc.....never once caught on.

hi krupesh I have not been inthat particular situation. but I took my tape recorder to college one day and insteadof hitting the record button right in the middle of our lesson as the prof was lecturring I hit the play button.what came out was testing testing one two three, get ready for engl 231 most boring.I got the thing shut off and back on recordding after 'the whole class of some 200 people were laughing, and whooping and stamping their feet. I apologized to the professor who was' laughting too, and said let me play the restof the test.it had stopped at boring but I did not mean you were boring.I had said was most boring to some people but I love this class. then he laughed some more and so did I. I got an A in that class over the quarter.

Hello hatley, You sure must have been the centre of attraction that day.Your lecturer must have been a happy go lucky kinda person. If it were to be another lecturer then it would have been a different story altogether. But just because of that atleast you got an A grade or is it?

I have been fooled but not in this manner. One day i received a mail and it said Airtel is giving some Rs1000 talktime to its subscribers and only a few of them received these mails mails and you are one of them and you are lucky. Then the email showed me the procedure and the procedure is something around 40-50 steps involving what to do to get the talktime and the email is something around 2-3 pages length. After reading the entire email atlast I found a note saying nothing will come freely stop wasting your time over free money and do your work....

Technically I don't think this makes you an idiot or fooled Krupesh, just the victim of some jerk who is the real idiot. After all, let's face it, who but an idiot would spend three hours recording a message that says 'You're An Idiot', post it to a web site and then look forward to fooling many people without ever being able to WITNESS their reactions? I'm sure that was entertaining for the perpetrator for all of....thirty seconds before they regretted it. As for me, I have been suckered many times. A favorite was while walking down Bourbon Street in New orleans when some kid came up to me and said 'I bet you $10 I can tell you where you got your shoes' to which I stupidly accepted the bet/ 'On your feet' he then said and followed with 'It's worth $10 just for the lesson' so I paid him. How's that for stupid?

Hello markodoom, That idiot spent 3 hours recording that message that read "you are an idiot".But this idiot spent 5 hours just to download that thing..Still its a waste of time downloading those kinds of things. But yours is too good...hahaha.It happens when you least expect the unexpected to happen.Sorry for losing ya $10.

I've been fooled a lot of times , but not as mayor as yours , just like the first time you are on the Internet and you see : YOU HAVE WON bla bla bla or websites that you can watch a movie which actually doesn't exists and it makes you download an addon

Oh!!! how you must have felt... Nothing like this has happened to me.... but I used to play pranks with my colleagues.... Open many documents and do a print screen then paste it on their desktop as a wallpaper, when they come back to their pcs they will try to close all those documents.... harmless ones... nothing serious....

Hi Krupesh, you are very lucky that I read all the discussions before I reply. If not, I will be very angry with you because calling me an idiot on your title . Lucky me, I never experience that kind of idiotic situation ha ha ha.. But honestly, I admire the person who did this to you.. It took a lot of effort to make the video and uploading it into the site. If you download it for 5 hrs, then the uploading time is more less the same. It is all because he wants to fool you . If you know the person, please let me know. I give him/her a hug and a big kiss

In some way. When one first gets broadband it tends to try and reach out for the greater glory of high-speed downloads and... well, you know the Internet. You can get just about anything from it. I decided to try and download a game against any sort of judgement, I mean, I just saw a title name and went for the download, several hours later ending up with an entirely different game. Needless to say since then I started trusting on my judgment to try and not make such large downloads in vain (by large, back then, it was 100MBs). Granted, it still confuses me why people do this. You'll never be able to see the faces of the people you trick, you have to sacrifice your upload speed and it surely won't make the news... there's really little point.
