Unique anime series

I've been watching anime for a while now and I've come upon some really unique and interesting series. I'm not talking about the storyline or art or anything like that. I'm actually referring to the way the series was presented. An example was when I was watching "Touka Gettan". After watching the first episode I was seriously confused. I was missing out on a lot of things and I had no idea what was going on. It wasn't until I was further along in the series did I notice that the episodes were backwards. The first episode was actually the last and the last was the first. I really thought that was trippy the first time around. I ended up watching it a second time to make sure I got everything.

There are a lot of cool animes that have really different storylines. 1. School Rumble - This seemingly happy normal high school anime is filled with controversy and violence after some time. 2. Darker than Black - This anime's view of the future will leave you going "whaaat?" after the 20 somethingth episode. 3. Evangelion - This classic mecha anime will have you at the edge of your seat and leave your mind freaked. 4. The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya - One thing that's REALLY unique about this anime is that it isn't in order. Ep 1 = Ep 6, Ep 2 = Ep 4 etc etc. It messes with your mind, but it's a whole lot of fun too.

That's right. I've seen a few of those shows and they are trippy. Nothing like an anime having a psychological affect on one's mind. I really like watching those types of series because it always gets my mind working.

lol. Yes. Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya really got me. The first ep was weird in itself. Then, there was an ep where one character suddenly appears and everyother character seems to be very familiar with him, and you check the previous eps wondering if you missed his introduction.

Hey guys!! If you really want to know about a trippy Anime then I know a great one!! The name of the Anime is BACCANO! BACCANO! is a great Anime with a brilliant story!! I watch it on Animax!! BACCANO! is an italian term for A BIG SILLY COMMOTION!! So, you can yourself guess how confusing it is!! When I started watching it, the first four episode went over my head!! But then I started getting what actually was going on!! Its a brilliant story!! It's a story about few alchemists who summoned a daemon and the daemon gave them a special elixir which made all of them IMMORTALS!! But suddenly some of them started disappearing!! So, they all decided to scatter away in different countries!! What will happen when they all(the 18 immortals that were left) reunite after two centuries? I myself haven't finished watching it!! But I recommend all of you to watch it!!

Hey shubhamv, I watched Baccano! a while back and it was a great series. I'd have to agree with you, I seriously thought that it was just this really random series after watching the first few episodes. But as you keep watching you'll notice that everything is connected in some way. Too bad it's too short. Anyways, enjoy watching the rest of the series.

try watching "Azumanga Daiyo" the anime has no particular storyline but its very crazy because the characters do, say, and think a lot of unexpected things. imagine a 15 year old girl thinking about her friend using her pair of detachable ponytails to fly.... very insane!

Hi badusername, thanks for the response. I actually haven't seen Azumanga Daiyo yet but have heard about it. It sounds like one of those really random anime series, somewhat similar to Gintama which is a favorite of mine.

Some fans said there only exist two kinds of cartoon in the world, one is anime, the other is not anime
