Commemorating terrorist attacks/remembering those killed

Should Britain/England have an offical day(s) of commemeration to remember people killed in IRA attacks and on July the 7th?

I don't see why not. America has 9/11, which we commemorated yesterday (it's 9/12/9 as I read this). If a national day will help the country come together, and give some kind of closure/rememberence to those still living with the memory, then all the power to you. I think it's a great idea.
