Who else likes Light Art?

As I was having a terrible time trying to fall asleep a few weeks ago, I turned on the crystallized night light in my room. It's a clear cube with a peace sign etched in it that rotates with colored lights shining through. I decided to take the cube off of the base and start playing with my digital camera and the rotating lights...I got some pretty fun shots. Does anyone else enjoy light art? Either taking photos or admiring them? Any techniques you've found to work pretty well?

Light painting? I'm not sure if I'm familiar with that type of art, unless that's what it's called when you sprinkle lights in with an already painted image (I'm thinking of some of the Thomas Kincaide prints that have the lights in them). Am I on the right track? I certainly enjoy those.

I guess i ahve seen light art sometimes but I havent seen it that often to really forumlate an opinion of it. My son used to have a lightbright kit when he was little and could make pictures with it. That is what I think of often when I think of light art.
