I have gone out twice with a guy I met on an internet date site. He has some quirks, but I like him. Both times, he acted strangely. One time we saw a play, the other time a movie. During both the play and the movie, he held my hand, acted warmly towards me, etc. But immediately after the play and the movie ended, he never touched me the rest of the evening. No good night kiss, either. Anyone know what he might want?

He just may be taking things a bit slow. Don't rush him. Play along a for a couple of more times. Get to know him a little bit more. I am sure as things get along he will open up. If he still doesn't respond, make your move. That should settle the matter.

I think it depends on the film you have watched. Maybe he got scared so he held your hand tightly. 
Or he got shy around you so he acted weirdly. try to ask him what happened and i know you'll eventually know the reason.
