Hello ,everyone,in order to let more foreigners know China well ,I, a 22-years-old Chinese boy build a class about the long ancient Chinese history. You are welcome to join if you are interested in Chinese histroy. The Xia Dynasty of China (from 2100BCE-1600BCE)is the first dynasty to bedescribed in ancient historical records such Records of the Grand Historian and Bamboo Annals. Although there is disagreement regarding the actual existence of the dynasty, there is some archaeological evidence pointing to its possible existence. The historian Sima Qian(145BCE-90BCE),who wrote the Shiji or Records of the Grand Historian and the so-called Bamboo Annals date the founding of the Xia Dynasty. In the 1960s and 1970s,archaeologists have uncovered urban sites, bronze implements, and tombs that point to the existence of Xia cicilization in the same locations cited in ancient Chinese historical texts. At minimum, the Xia period marked an evolutionary satge between the late neolithic cultures and typical Chinese urban civilization of the Shang dynasty.
