Well, I had come across a number of woman who curse themselves just because she is or they were females. I am in India and I am talking about the lives of rural woman, who are mostly dominated by males. In our part of the world, it is difficult to be an woman. There are so many restrictions to come across, life appears hell at times. Could you believe, still there are places where girls are deprived of education after attainment of puberty. Did you ever regret for being an woman?

I dont regret being female. I just feel quite upset when males are given more opportunities than females. I am from the city so I'm sorry that I cant relate to the rural life but at work, I am in a similar situation because the industry I am in is male dominated. I, however, think that it is unfair for women like yourself to be treated unfairly and be deprived of education. Clearly, change is needed.

It is good to know that you don't regret for being a female. Sometimes I regret, because we are yet to get the complete liberty like that of the western society. Sometimes it so happens that we keep ourself at a distance from doing something, like shouting in public, just because, people may think that it is abnormal for a girl to shout in public. (You just imagine a situation which makes us so excited that we would love to shout aloud but we just keep silent). Thanks for your views.

Oh, that's probably because I am westernized. Hong Kong is a culturally diverse city with people from different places so it's relaxed here. I'm sorry that some cultures/countries aren't the same.

i am sad that that is the way with women in ur place. i am very much happy and contented being a woman (i should be, this is the only gender i have tried, hahahaha, joke). women here are given equal opportunity as much as the men here. lots of women are taking up jobs previously occupied by the male populace. i don't see why there should be restrictions for women... after all, we are are created equal and are the same in the eyes of God.
