If the main purpose of your question is for earning money on the web, then I suggest you go for website, there's a diffence in payment if you own a site rather than a blog.

OMG ! A blog is a website or a part of it, similar with a forum or a chat-room or anything else. A blog is a website if is independent and is all what is about on that website - a virtual diary. A blog is a part of a biger website (ex. a portal) and is all like a independent one just have soemwhere some links to the othre parts of the "mother" website. A website can be more or less static, this is something the web-designer, web-master and/or web-site-owner to decide. A web-site can be made of a single static page containing a link to a game - and if that is the only ay to reach that game, there you have a perfect static page with huge traffic. One of the most dinamic websites is .. a blog. But not only. Also a forum, a social bookmarking, a virtual shop, a (video)chat, a browser game and so on.

First of all please take the time and read this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Website web-designer - someone who knows things about design and can come with user-friendly solutions, including colors schemas, type and size of fonts, pictures and them position on page and so on web-programmer - someone who knows web-programming languages, such as html, css, javascript, ajax, php, asp and so on. web-master - usualy the main administrator of the site. web-site owner - the one who owns the website - mean he own the domain name and on his name is rented the hosting space for the web-site.

I prefer a blog if i have something to convey, rather than a website. a blog is more dynamic and interactive. websites are more or less static.

This is a mighty tall order! A blog is anything you want it to be, mine is the story about when I worked in Mexico for 3 years, and the ups and downs! I don't do it for money! Blogs can be on a free site where you can earn cash in several different ways, but the competition is really hard to beat, everyone and their brother has a blog nowadays! A web site is a good way to go as if you get you own and pat for it, it's your to do as you wish! You can do a blog or sell other people things or join an affiliate marketing group, there are many choices and they are yours to make! the free web sites control you! There are so many choices out there it's your decision on what you want, but there's no such thing as a free lunch! You get what you pay for, usually! tdemex
