Do you know whether they like names based on another's, like a favorite author or actor or movie character? Or do they like Hebrew or Latin-sounding names? There are many names I could suggest like Aidan, Tyler, Hayden, Cole, Alistair, Devon, Brendan, Kendrick, Shaun, Caleb, Maverick... the list could go on and on. Your aunt could also combine two different names so that it becomes less common.

Hello cainam! It is so exciting to think of a name for a baby. My husband and I also had a hard time finding the best name. Well, you can search through the internet about different baby boy's name. It will show you different names and its meaning according to the origin of the name. You can also try mixing the names of your aunt and her husband in order to create a unique name.

I would hurt someone who suggested that I name my child Legolas...seriously. Can you imagine how mocked that child would be at school? That is not a cool name, that's the name that unfeeling parents would give a child to live out their geek-y fantasies. Ahem...that was a little bit of a rant. But as for uncommon names, combination names are pretty cool, but I'm not a big fan of names containing hyphens and apostrophes. :? Maybe they should check out babynames.com (if it still exists), it's got pretty well every name in there plus meanings too!
