October sees the annual tourist festival in Shanghai. On the opening ceremony, we have decorated vehicle parade, which is always a focus. In the following weeks, we have performances from international delegration. And in surrounding rurual areas, will be various local activities to show the traditional traits. What are the representative cultural festivals in your place?

Hi zhuifen46, Being in West Bengal,India, September-October is essentially a biggest festival time. We have 'DURGA PUJA'- a festival of worshiping the goddess of power & strength. This occasion continues for five days and whole of the province is wrapped in glittering and decoration of lights, art, architecture and sculpture. People are all on the streets from morn to the late hours of the night throughout these five days. It is a time for joy fun and frolic. It's worth witnessing with the entire humanity mingling together in peace and harmony. Regards

Here in Baguio City, Philippines, the famous festival we celebrate every year is the "PANAGBENGA Festival" or the Flower Festival in English. We do it every February and many tourists visit our city either local or foreign. They truly appreciate the elegance of different flowers being displayed and the amazing talents of every street dancer joining in the street parade. Blessings!:)
