With whom are you closer, your mother or father?

When I was younger, I was closer to my mother. But when I get older I became much closer to my father. Growing up, father was the disciplinarian in the house. While mother was more of the loving person we easily ran to when we get spanked by father :( After school years, father and mother exchange roles---father became laid-back and mother became stern. I got closer with my father and we developed a unique father-daughter bond from then onwards. But this is not to say that I love my mother less. I love them both, very much. How about you?
