Do you or do you know anyone who has been approved and receives SSI/DIS for allergy and autoimmune/allergy related ailments? Was this a long and drawn out process?
I have an oddball allergy condition that is reaaally keeping me down and I toughed it out about as long as I can and I know that applying for and receiving SSI can be a fight anyway...

Hello zoey..How are you? Well that was kinda dumb on my part considering you discussion. Sorry...
All I know about disability is that you have to have something that will not let you work. It is hard to get,but if you believe that you can't work then by all means don't give up. I know that it sometimes takes people a year to get their disability. I guess the main thing is don't give up. I wish you the best of luck.

Don't think you will be able to get SSI/DIS for an allergy, unless it's Asthma related.
I been down the road with SSI/DIS a few times & it all depends on the case if you will be approved or not approved.
Either way they will have you see several different doctors & have you do tests as well.
It can be a short process or a very long process.
If your able to work with your allergy problem, then you probably won't stand a chance even getting your foot in the door.
An allergy isn't really a disability, but if it's anything like Asthma where it is giving you problems with breathing, then maybe you do stand a chance.
