I know the question seems a bit off hand...but I was recently reading a historical book on Wiccan teachings and such and some of the miracles Jesus performed are similar to those performed by wizards and witch doctors...such as walking on water and healing the blind my using saliva...I am a strong Christian myself...so I mean no insult

I have a simple answer. Jesus doesn't do parlor tricks. There were no others who claimed to be the son of God, other then Jesus. He lived his whole life as a pure design of God's own hands. There has never been another man nor God that can proclaim to have been sinless as he was. Oh sure they can come close, by words, but can they actually be free from sin? I don't care how good you claim to be in this world, if you can't be sinless, then God gave another way to live with God's rules, by his son Jesus Christ, who took all the sin from the world two thousand years ago, but man went right back into the way of sin. Man will never learn until they decide to repent of their sins and don't sin any more. But people are still interested in what the society of the times says, and do whatever they want, instead of what was commanded of them. Satan is ruler of the worldly ways and man just decides what they want, we have full will to make any decision we want but don't expect to get any miracles from a creator you deny.

you didnt really answer the question was Jesus a wizard? he performed acts of sorcery the only thing that kept people from calling him a witch was the fact that he claimed to be the son of God (which only prooves his mental instability)

"wizards are using slight of hand tricks to give people the impression of power, Jesus did not seem to do, he did among thousands of eye witnesses." okay Kris Angel has performed similar feats in front of thousands of witnesses Is he a wizard or a Messiah? "And the bible even predicts the things of this world now, that are happening and will happen." hmmm... the ancient Egyptian calendars also predicted things and so did other ancient civilizations' writings those writings and calendars were done LONG before Jesus was even born so is the bible truth or plagerism? "Would you do anything for anyone, who didn't have faith in you?" yes I would! in fact I have I dont need others to have faith in me because I have faith in myself "What if your own mother said to you that in her eyes, you didn't exist? How would you feel?" it would make me feel very sorry for her because she is missing out on knowing a wonderful person but ultimately I cant make her (or anyone) love me

Good question... The Bible records that wizards and magic practitioners did, in fact, have remarkable powers. Back in Egypt, the wizards were able to duplicate the throwing of the staff to make a snake. Throughout the Bible, the magic practitioners did have some powers, each and every one, however, to the personal gain of the wizard. In Acts, a magician attempts to buy the power to cast out demons. Peter condemns his motives, however, saying that the power comes only from God in heaven. Basically, it comes down to this. All supernatural power has a source. We must automatically assume that the power is demonic, since it is the demons that inhabit the earth with us, and in some cases, inhabit the actual people. When Jesus came along, and performed the miracles He did, He was able to perform one that was not performed by any wizard or magicker....casting out demons. When asked if His power came from demons, He responded that a kingdom that casts itself out will crumble, so obviously, the power was not demonic since it was demons that were being cast out...I would venture to say that the power shown came from the opponents OF the demons, which would be, heavenly. No insult here...I know there are a lot of skeptics out there...but faith is strong enough to overcome anything the world can throw in our way... Dive Deep!

Great insight and well said chaoticbeauty. The devils cannot cast away their own comrade since they would just destroy their own kingdom as Jesus had said.

You're right even the enemy of our soul can duplicate God's miracles just like the Egyptian magicians who opposed Moses. But they cannot exactly copy God's authentic miracles.
