Yay me! LOL. My birthday just passed a couple of days ago. That evening as I as getting my kids settled into bed, my daughter comes upstairs and askes me who I got the flowers from. What flowers? I asked her; not having seen any flowers. She went back downstairs and returned with the cutest little pink rose bush in a ceramic pot. She said that it was just sitting on the table in the kitchen. Now I must explain here that we rarely use the front door at my house. My neighbour is also my best friend and most evenings I just run in and out my backdoor to cross the lawn and enter her backdoor. Sometimes after dinner's done I just don't go back into the kitchen at all. Anyways, I spent all the night wondering who was sweet enough to drop off the flowers. Wednesday (yesterday)found me chatting up all my friends trying to find out who left me the roses. Today I finally got myself in gear and started to tidy up the kitchen table so I could see it again. Sitting there under some other stuff was a sealed envelope with absolutely nothing on it. I opened it up to find a birthday card from one of the couple's in our church that said "hope you enjoy the flowers"! I'm going to have to call her and tell her she made my day.

Oh, that was very sweet! Happy Belated Birthday! Getting flowers is nice, and I like the fact that you got a whole rose bush. That way, you can enjoy them for a long time. I think that giving someone a flowering plant is a great way to give them flowers that will last.

I did find it rather sweet. Normally I have a thing against roses but I think that's mainly from the other half. I've found that if a guy gives you roses it means he feels guilty about something... LOL...

Yes, unfortunately that seems to be the case a lot of the time. You get the roses, and then you start to think "alright, what did he do wrong this time"! Fortunately, my husband gets me flowers "just because" he loves me.
