Taking the safe deposit key from Kevin and confronting Deacon with it during the wedding. So what will Deacon do? Will he go through with the wedding or will he trade the wedding for the key? Also, just what makes him think with his original plan that Kevin would bring the painting, if that is what is in the box, to him and not just turn it over the authorities for a reward?

I don't quite understand this whole storyline. Why does Deacon want this painting and how did Gloria end up with it. I must have missed some details somewhere.

Deacon wants it to sell on the blackmarket and get a lot of money. Apparently the story is that Tom stole the painting a long time ago but did not have the connections to sell it just put it in the safe deposit box. He left the key to Kevin in a letter without telling him what was in the box. Gloria had no idea about any of this till Deacon started trying to con her into getting the painting before Daniel could. Kevin told his new half brother, Ryder, about the key which was the whole point in having him get close to Kevin. Deacon and Ryder knew for some time that Tom had stolen the painting but didn't know where it was until they guessed it had to be in the safe deposit box that Kevin had to key for.
