I never heard of such a thing and then I my lil guy got a boo-boo today. SO I thought since I can't put an ice pack on his lip I'll get him a popsicle of sorts. They have a variation called slow melt w/ gelatin wich helps keep the popsicle more intact and less messy. And I'm impressed my lil guy had 3 of them and other than his hands being a lil sticky there was little mess anywhere to be found. SO two thumbs up from me! http://www.icecreamusa.com/popsicle/slow_melt.cfm

What a great idea! I like the picture of the little girl in the white dress, it's a great illustration of how effective they are. I hope your child's lip is better! And I wish they'd had these when my kids were little. After one try, I banned popsicles and gave them home made yogurt and pudding pops instead!

It's starting to scab up And then he was messing in the cubbard and dropped a metal coulendar on his big toe. *sigh* poor kid was just not having a good day. I wanted to make home made, I even bought a mold (out of season) and by the time summer came around they basically do as they always do run off w/ a componet or two and it's just junk cause ya can't use it anymore. Anything with multiple pieces and it's not interchangeable with other things I just plain don't bother buying.

I love those popsicles. I just discovered them last year at the grocery stores. What a great concept for little kids. I wonder what took so long for someone to come up with the idea.

No idea. Maybe the idea of inventing new flavor combinations got old and maybe decided to look into improving their product and finding a way to market it?

I have heard of them, but I have never bought them before. I might have to look into them though. My kids usually have the freeze pops that are in plastic and you push them up as you eat them.

Thank you for posting this! My niece absolutely loves popsicles but she always makes a huge mess of herself and I think this is a brilliant idea. It's not too easy to get red popsicle stains out!
