Are you having a habit of taking a nap in daytime?

It's said taking half hour's nap in daytime is as good as you take two hours sleeping at night. Do you take a nap in daytime? How do you feel of it? Is it necessary for you? As I stay up late at night quite often, I feel taking a nap at noon is essential for me, or I will feel dozy off in the whole afternoon.

hi karen! Same here. I stay up too late at night so i feel the need to make up for it in the day. I, most of the time, stay up even until 4-5 in the morning so I really feel tired when I wake up. Even a few minutes of sleep can get me right back at the mood. Also, I'm a very good day sleeper and can sleep the whole day through. That's actually more efficient for me since my siblings borrow my PC during the day so instead of not doing anything, I just manage to sleep.

Hi Leo, sleep till lunch time is not possible for me unless it's at weekend. What's more, although I would love to sleep late too, I still feel it's quite waste time to do so. : ) Happy mylotting to you!

Hi karen, taking a nap in daytime is one of my favorites. I always feel drowsy after having lunch in the afternoon. While my stomach is full I feel so comfortable and content and feel reluctant to do anything. What’s more the hot weather additionally makes me to thirst for a short nap then I always feel refreshed after getting up from the short siesta. Just like you my dear. I do stay up late all the time. Only having an afternoon nap the following day could keep me energetic again. Sometimes I don’t have spare time to have a nap, I would then try to play my favorite computer games. Yeah, just playing for a short while to keep myself full of beans again Then I could do all the routine nicely again! Have a nice day and happy posting!

Hi karen, I had just got up from my short nap. After having a few sips of cold water, I get on the net again. I'm full of energetic now I do feel glad to read your comment here as well. I think it's better to take a brief stroll than to play computer games. Certain games are really great! Sometimes we might be too indulgent in it! Very often I even could hardly refrain myself from playing it. Have a nice day!

Hello, Ikbooi, It's always nice to hear from you. I do not play computer games for a long time, I do not know if it can make me full of beans again :) If I do not have enough time to take a nap, I would like to walk for a while, it can make me feel less sleepy. Have a nice day and happy posting to you!

I used to when I had a more active life. But now as I lead sort of a lazy lifestyle I don't feel the need to anymore. Thankfully. Naps are really uncomfortable for me. Maybe the problem was just the sofa, but I get the feeling that sleeping for any less than 6 hours will get you up feeling in a bad mood.

I would great appreciate if there is a sofa for me to take a nap. I actually sleep on my stomach in our office every noon.

Hi Abanerji, thanks for your response. I myself do not like take nap in the evening, as once I fall into sleep, I want to sleep longer, and that makes me hard to get into sleep at night :(

I always find myself getting really tired during the daytime but I can never sleep. I actually have a hard time sleeping at night too. The only time it's not so hard for me is as soon as the sun starts to come up.

Before I went to the university,I never took a nap in daytime, because I think it's just a waste of time,I should do something but keeping my eyes closed. When I was a fresh,I came to visit a professor who told me that only half an hour's deep sleep could produce enough energy to take any activities in the afternoon,I tried and it worked out great. Then I had the habit of taking a nap in daytime.

Hi Jackie, yes, I total agree with that. When I was a student, I always took about 1 hour's nap, so I seldom feel sleepy in the afternoon, and that makes my study more efficient. Have a nice day and happy mylotting.

Hi Karenkk, Yeah, I believe so as taking a snap is very critical for the whole day, it can reserve more energy when you finished the napping. For me, I would take a nap regularly at noon time, otherwise the whole afternoon I will feel drowsy and thus the working efficiency will be also affected.
