I am so sick of people complaining that there discussion has no responses. We are NOT going to take pity for you. I can give you a GREAT reason why the majority

"Your" is not short for "you are". But apart from that, good job saying something that needs to be said. A lot of the time when I check the topics with no responses, I can find a whole bunch started by a single person, and they'll all be single-line boring topics or questions I can't even understand. Either that, or the topics are stuff that have been asked repeatedly before. And then they post topics asking why the lack of responses... Again, another boring topic that has been posted over and over again. =x

I'm not criticising. I am merely pointing it out to let her know. If she wants to improve, she can learn from that. If she doesn't care, she can ignore me. I don't insult people just for typing badly unless I'm certain that they're from an English-speaking country and should do better. A lot of users here with broken English express an interest in learning English. Have you seen all those topics where people say myLot is a good place for them to practice English? Pointing out mistakes to people helps them learn.

(^_^) Woah! That's pretty an advice. I'm glad I don't complain. hehehe But I can't deny that I was once like that. At first it's really frustrating not to get responses from discussions you created. And I think most people who are keen on earning are kind of desperate with this. But I think, in general, people here should lessen their expectation towards each other. I understand that most of us come from different culture and not everyone will have the same set of experiences to share. Not all of us here have the same level of knowledge and thinking. It would be better to enjoy what we are doing here because I know the earnings just follow if you learn to become patient. That's what I came to realize and I did. =)

Exactly. People should treat mylot as a fun forum site and the money should just come as an extra benefit.

Spot on pweety_princess. Can you believe I even wasted my time responding to one the other day by someone who said they were thinking of leaving (I was mislead by the high post count) as all they ever got were useless responses blah blah. I responded with a few tips which attracted others into my box as well and then everyone realised the poster hadn't responded and started commenting on this, then the poster shows up with the excuse of computer problems stopping them responding in the past, ignored everyone else except 'a true friend' who agreed with them, and then had the nerve to start yet another discussion. It is beyond me, will these people never get it. All it does for me is remind me never to waste my time on them again.

If a person knows there not going to be able to respond to a discussion, they shouldn't even start it in the first place. Cause apparently the guy's computer broke down just after the discussion was started. Yeah, right.

Should have put in the introduction, will only respond to friends who agree with me. Computer fixed for next one, last time I bother with one of those 'why I'm leaving mylot' sagas, attention seekers. Mike what are you doing in this box with a dodgy mouse

I don't have a lot of responses to most of my discussions, but only one of mine doesn't have ANY responses. I don't start a lot of discussions, I try to elaborate on the topic that I am discussing, and I try to respond to all the comments on them. However, I don't get mad or complain if they don't get a lot of responses. I figure that either I'm new on here so there aren't many people viewing my discussions or the topic wasn't that interesting to anyone or both. I have seen a few discussions that didn't have any responses, and I wasn't even sure what the person was asking. On at least one of them, I rephrased the question and asked whether or not I had correctly interpreted what they were asking. I thought that it might help them get more responses if it was clear what the question was. I know that I'm new here, so I really shouldn't be getting annoyed with anything yet, but it does kind-of annoy me when I take the time to respond to a discussion and the person that starts the discussion can't even bother to reply to anyone. I have had some fun banter with people on here, and I thought that was part of the point of being on myLot. Perhaps I was wrong.

Thanks Mike! I was going for something that "fit" me, and this is one of the pictures that I took of the flowers in my mom's garden. I'm glad that you like it! I feel really honored to be only your 8th friend request, especially since you have so many friends. I wasn't sure whether or not I was going to accept it, because you only said that pweety could spank you and not me, but I'll let it slide this time - just don't let it happen again.

I agree with you on your points. At least find something to post on and if you wanna start your own thread, then post something sensible. For the "busy" part...hehe, it's funny but yes, there are some here. Nice topic you started here.

Well, Seriously if people are busy then they shouldn't even start a discussion.

I know. It defeats the purpose of starting one. Maybe they think they'll earn through people's responses but yeah, I did notice. Not many people reply back.

This is a great point. I only joined mylot because I saw an opportunity to earn some extra cash. But, after getting started i saw how much I could do, all the interesting discussions and now I'm just having fun. I love to communicate with people and see what everybody is interested in and answering questions. if someone is just posting and not commenting then they don't deserve to get any responses. If they don't have time to make comments then don't make any post.

People think they will earn if they don't reply, cause it doesn't really matter. Well, just like Mike says, If you don't learn you don't earn.

Hey, that's the way it is and very well should be. People are always trying to get over, get by and get something for nothing.

look no I do not deserve it and I got a lot of responses on my discussions and yes I am behind because 1.myson the breadwinner in ourhousehold lost his job. 2. we ran out of money and got behind on our apartment rent 3. we were evicted and hadto put our belongings includidng my computer and monitor in storage. 4. the help that was promised us and we had depended on reneged so 5.we were homeless 6.I am now in a senior center and ihave my computer back and am trying hard to undo all the waiting for 11 months.now people can be patient with me as I did not know at the time that all that was going to happen or they can go you know where. I do resent the tone of this dicussion.and yes I do respond all the time to all the other discussions I can find time to do.

yup pweety_princess, you are right, why should we bother to respond to such discussions where there is nothing interesting, the ones starting such discussions should know, i ignore them but yeah they should not start complaining about it... don't they realize they are starting silly discussions, they should know what kind of discussions we like to respond to... ok i don't blame some of the newbies coz they need time to adapt to the atmosphere here but there are some who keep posting and posting, i don't mind how much they are posting but it should be reasonable and if they are not they should not start complaining about it, that would make anyone get annoyed... hmm i don't rate anyone '-' but i just ignore them... just the polite way most of us work to let them know they are being boring and it all seems like they are spamming when they keep posting useless discussions, they won't earn anything from it, their mistake... anyways have a nice day pweety_princess

I sometimes do get angry at newbies, but I guess I have to remember there only new. But still, they should have read the guidelines.

Firstly, you have spoken the truth. You have pointedly given advice and then hurled brickbats at those who could possibly be ignorant of MyLot rules.Secondly, you have shown contempt at spammers and those who are starting inane topics on the forum that would not attract any response. However, truth be told, you are also caustic and not tactful in the way you deliver your messages. You need to practice good will. That is my humble assessment of your posting.

I was angry at the time, but I don't think that I delivered it badly. Just like Mike mentioned, I go straight to the point. Me, sweet?
