Making Discussions, Responding, and Commenting; Which suits you better

Philippines

I remember once last year that there was this feature of the discussion, that when you create on discussion, it's already counted as one post even though there hasn't been any response yet. i think that has changed now. Imagine, they were so many zero responded topics then that is counted as post, not this time i supposed. So, for the sake of the number of post i decided to respond to as many as discussions as possible, i never even bothered to comment at that time because i though we wouldn't earn from iti didn't believe it at first until a month ago.. For me, make little numbers of discussions, respond more to people and comment a few topics and their responses. that's How it works for me. Task? I don't bother with it. Question is: Which of the three makes you feel comfortable doing.. Anyways, Have a great day every one.

hi buddy. i know it was and it is, a started discussion will not count as one post, until such time a respond is received. and to the question, it goes like 1. starting a discussion 2. commenting to responds in my own discussion 3. responding to others. have a great day too. so how are you doing now, buddy? how's your back? neil

For me, I've always believed in commenting as a form of basic courtesy ever since I first started lotting. I have a somewhat seasonal mood. I would comment and answer discussions all the way without creating any. But when the mood arises, I would keep on creating..

I am in that mood swing to zed. spending lot of time mylotting is vomit inducing and need long period of inactivity to rejuvenate.

Well, buddy.. it happens to the best of us, doesn't it.. Get out there, have a walk, awesome dinner or spend time with friends etc and get back rejuvenated. It works for me each time, except when I have to work, then I'll be a bit moody, ha...

Responding to Discussion really suits me. Honestly, if I make discussion I can't manage it, sometimes I can put on comment on my discussion afer a day because I was busy responding to my friends discussion. That is why I make sure I do a discussion of my won that is very important to me, either that is my problem that I want an advice or solution or a questions that are still unanswered. So when you see me started a discussion you choose from this two reasons. That is my problem or questions that needs an answer right away.

Hello Letranknight, I am happy that you started this discussion.I always wanted to tell why I usually dont comment to most of my discussions. The problem with me is my english.I have so many things in my mind but I cant put it in words.I am just capable of communicating with simple words.I always wanted to indulge myself in all the discussions of the oldies , but I sometimes cant understand their slangs. I therefore am just happy to start my own discussions & happy to know what people think about the subject of my discussions.I really appreciate mylotters who respond to my discussions. Thanks to everyone who responds to my discussions. You are also one of them & please dont mistake me if I dont reply you back. But I love tp read the discussions of others & I will be just doing that the whole day.

Hi krupesh, I'm so glad I saw your comment in this discussion. I was beginning to wonder about you because I have responded to several of your discussions. I was beginning to wonder if you ever went back and read them after you started them. Actually, I think your English is pretty good. I have seen worse. I know it can be hard to understand American idiom or slang. Even without that the English language is difficult because of son many words that mean the same and sound different and words that sound the same but mean different. I think you are doing a very good job of comprehending. Anyway, if some phrase or comment doesn't make it's meaning clear just ask the one who wrote it to clarify it for you. Most of the time they won't mind. I remember the first time I was in a chat room. For the most part I could figure out what they were saying and keep up but this one person kept saying "ROTFLMAO" and for the life of me I couldn't figure out what that meant. Finally I just had to ask. The person gave me the explanation and a link to where I could learn the different chat speak and didn't even laugh at me for not knowing.

Hi Krupesh I think that's a challenge for you, i believe you can do it. I mean, you can speak that good, and probably just talk it with your simple words and no need to do their slangs, they just prefer to have fun in your topics. well, we are all busy here and other people's topics..gotta go back to that laundry thing. have a great day

hi letran, well, i make sure that i can post at least one discussion per day, and on the next day i will comment to the one who responded to my topic, and inter acts again and again until we can discuss things that are not related to the topic.. until i can't get along with the whole response and can't give more time for them, the next day again i will post and again and again i will do it.. i also love to respond to others discussion, that's why i make sure that i can open at least three tabs for myLot so i can open many more topics and i can respond as much as i can.. it also depends on the discussion, if it is interesting or not.. janebeth.

Nice and sweet avatar there Janabeth. yeah, sometimes i open my discussions and comment on the responses. i have more than just three tabs when responding to discussions. well, i can't help not to respond if the topic is way-off my interest, i try to keep myself from saying "I don't this and that or never experienced this and that" to a discussion that am not familiar with. Great day Janebeth, uhmm. your reputation went down somehow.

I only start discussions when something interesting happens during the day. I get mylot digest for the day sent to my e-mail and try to comment on almost all of them or atleast half. I try to respond to every comment to my discussions, but not to the ones that are commenting on my comment unless I need to add something else.

So, you prefer to comment most of the time, that's even cooler. but for me i can't just comment on the responses unless they are all related to me. sometimes my comments are too man when am seriously adding something else.

I comment to men or womens discussions. There are alot of women discussions that I can identify with and the men discussions just need a womans point of view. So it really depends upon what the discussion is about and if I have something to say.

this for me depends on how long can i stay at mylot. if i have longer time to be online then i will respond and i will comment as well. if i have something good in my mind to start as discussion then i will start a discussion. i guess the starting of discussion basically when i have something in my mind or i did not forget a discussion that i wanted to start. before i joined at mylot the person who invited me to join (he is no longer a member ) oriented me on what to with mylot. so i know that commenting has earnings as well.

I commenting the discussions if I can give any suggestion on my mind then I'll respond to any discussion which interest to me. I never go to make new discussions if nothing was I want to discuss. I act like my words not have valuable if someone don't reply me back, that doesn't bothered me. I have slowdown than before, because I feel lazy to think.

Hi Letran, starting them is the quickest for me as it's easier to keep the flow going if ones put up something of interest to oneself in the first place, plus you don't have to move around as much which takes longer than typing up comments. But I always respond to my friends discussions too if I have something to say as one can't be one sided about these things. It puts me off starting discussions though when I have one that bombs out on me which I had a couple of days ago so for now I'm just playing catch up, but I did promise a discussion to dbu so I must keep my word and post it up later.

I prefer to post responses to other discussions, as I do that everyday, and it is easier for me to post resonses than to start discussions, however, I have started a few. I earn here by posting responses, so I know it can be done, and I don't do tasks either. I have had to put effort into everything I do in here. There is nothing we do, without some effort on our part. I do post as much as I can when I am in here, but I don't push myself. If I can't do a lot, then that is okay. I emjoy mylot very much, so getting paid is a bonus, but a good bonus. I hope to be here for a long time. Good luck to you and happy mylotting.

well, i put too much effort in responding and commenting, which is a very hard thing to do. a lot of responses are pretty much the same, that's why i had to innovate the things that i say to a user.

Responding and commenting are better than starting your own discussions. What we mostly find here on discussions are topics which have been done by other MyLotters but they have just been modified in one way or another. Great day to you too.

that's right. sometimes when we make discussions, It rarely gets response if the timing of the interest is right. other people's topics are far more interested than my own

I feel it comfortable with making commenting.. In commenting, we can get some points from the response we received and develop it.. I am good in developing hints but not in creativity. Also, i feel fun in replying responses with some funny questions sometimes.. So only, i start discussions daily whenever i got some idea. Also, i love to comment back on the comments i received for my response.. Have a nice day.. (You steal my Have a great day)

It suits me all. To my understanding we need to be actively participating to all what is laid out in front of us in mylot. When I have no mood to do any business in mylot due to tiredness or boredom, I enjoy taking my sweet time reading to all the discussions without lifting my fingers on the keyboard. In fact I like to start discussions but more often I end up frustrated cos my discussions sometimes doesn't pass the grade in mylot and ends up in the bin. . Despite not trespassing into the rules and regulations of mylot. So I venture to only response and comment but can't really stop me from starting new discussions once in a blue moon.

so, you just read them, huh? that's good entertainment just like reading a novel, or a book or some one else's story. yeah, it's nice to read on what other people are thinking. unfortunately some other users prefer to read the title and then respond with out reading what's inside.

m hi letranknight25 well I think I usually do responses and c omments first then make discussions as I have so manytimes made too many discussions at one time and got so far behind on my comments to the responses I felt really bad as I had let everyone down. so now I have cut down on the number of discussions I do.

Hello there again LetranKnight...How are you today? I am one of those that enjoy making comments to other discussions. I have been member on mylot for about 2 months now and having a blast. I have started a few discussion but not many. I just can't seem to come up with a discussion I think that might be interesting to the others. As for tasks I just don't do those either. i would prefer to responds first because my english is not so good to start a discussion :p Imagine that people will wrinkled their forehead just to understand my discussion. But i do make start some discussion just for a special occasion and not for some general topic. I love to write and i am proud of my ability in writing but not in english sentences of course LOL PS: Agree, i found it is so ridiculous to doing a task that only pay you a cent and not give you any knowledge or fun that one will gain when they browsing some discussions [IMO though:D]. And yeah i am a little bit disappointed that my task rejected when i am a hundred percent sure that i already follow the steps that the task creator mentioned:(

I get it genius, just keep on responding to discussions as long as you like. and when you got tired of responding and come up with the idea then put it in the discussions. don't focus too much on task and instead focus on responding discussions. that's why i don't do task, if i think hard and do task and get's rejected, that wouldn't do me any good.
