Though the DVD'S and CD'S dominated the cassettes, I still got a passion for the tapes, as cassettes are the main cause for me to love music in the initial stages. I do have a large collections of Cassettes, they can be kept as momentos only. By the way do you know Gramaphone cassettes, the big CDS, in those days???

yes my inlaws do still have them but the component was already damaged so those big discs are now only for memorabilia and for our eyes only. my kid used to feel amazed on how big the discs are since he can compare it with recent discs. thanks for responding to my post.

there is actually a device/machine that can convert your old tapes to cd format. depending on your country, there are shops that offer such service but it is usually very expensive, it is probably cheaper to buy a new cd. in my case, i still have an old cassette player in my place thats why i can still use my cassette tapes once in a while. but honestly, i prefer the sound quality of cd as compared to cassette tapes.

I make a collection of DVDs at home and all are mostly horror movies so I just buy them, watch them once or twice as I do not like to lend movies so I buy themmyself, them I keep them in a cupboard, I think maybe after I can share them with some close relations who can keep them safe like I do.

my cassette tapes are all gone, i have lots of it in my parents home and in my boarding houses in college. i had transferred to lots of boarding houses and come of my tapes were left behind and unattended, some of it were stolen and lost. and now, even a single one, nothing had left for me.

Go to expert one and ask for referral to make sure. Just try to keep it safe so that your cassette tapes will not ruin. I'll just send you a name of person. Just put it in a cartoon. Don't stock in a plastic ware or anything.

yes, we have a number of them too. i air them once in a while or play them in the recorder. i take them out of their case and dust them and try to check if they are not destroyed from time to time. it would be a waste to throw them away or let them "die naturally".

I also have hundreds of cassette tapes of different albums, not only that I still have some of the old records, which used to be played on the record player. Unfortunately there is no record player available, now days. I do not know whether they can be converted into cd/dvd files. I recently saw a music player with 9 functions, which includes a cassette tape player. I do know, whether my cassettes will play in that player, because it has been used for a long time, and I have not stocked it in a cupboard like you, but I have put it in a bag and kept it in the loft.

i just keep it and sometimes i play it since i still have cassette player at home. those are original tapes and music are very clear. unlike today, cd and dvd are very expensive and i bought those pirated, the music is not clear. i just download some music online instead and save it in my computer.
