As a student, did you wish to be a class officer?

When I was still studying, I always aimed to be a class officer. I wanted to be someone to rule and be followed by others. I have to set good examples of course, and I did. Since I was in grade 3 up to the time I finished college, I was an officer and it feels good. I think I had gained the trust of others. This is very fulfilling for me. I had developed my leadership skills since then and now I see myself responsible and dependable. How about you?

I'm a student right now, and although previously I had not much desire to rule whatsoever, this year I have found myself a Vice President of a small but strong-willed club. I have to say that I've enjoyed being a studnet of power so far, but my personality is one that will let other students take over if they believe they can do a better job than I can. I've been learning how to better manage my time between meetings and such, and I think it's been a major boost to my character as well. :D

Congratulations to you then classicemcegy. It feels good to lead others, isn't it? Just like you, I also enjoyed leading my class. I miss those days... However, you have to manage your time well since you aren't only taking care of yourself, but you have to consider the whole group. So good luck to you, Mr. VP. :)

I'm not sure what you mean by officer...but I'll just say that it is really great to learn hard enough to gain the respect of others and be a leader. It takes responsability, of course, but it's much better to be on the lead of something, calling the shots than being down on the dirt.

Yes, that's the greatest accomplishment being an officer - getting the respect and recognition of the people you serve. I also miss those days.

I didnt aim for it. For some reason, people would always elect me or vote for me. That's how I became the VP of the student council as well.

That's good. So I guess you are known in your school for having the qualities of a leader. I think people won't vote for someone they don't trust.

Yes of couse...but then being a class officer is not easy..you have your responsibilities and you have to be a good example to others before they follow you...But the good part of that is that you gain respect and popularity as well....

As a student I did not necessarily desire to be a class officer, but I was always elected to a position. I held an office in my homeroom class from junior high until I graduated high school. Being elected to a leadership position does help you to take responsibilities as an adult. Since becoming an adult more than 40 years ago, I have held many offices at work and at church.

Hi!I really don't think a class officer has the power to rule others.I'm now a senior student and a class monitor. Most of my reseponsibilitis are just give our classmate some useful suggestions and organize activitis of class.

I would always want to be a class officer when I was younger and I would sometimes get the responsibility. Though, after going to a new school I found that I couldn't become an officer because they already had set officers and they didn't allow me to try my hand at it. I think that being an officer does help with your leadership skills and makes you a better person.
