I was a bit happy this morning cause the first item i ordered online finally arrived at my home after 3 weeks. The item i bought is USB card reader. it costed me $1.14. not much but i was just trying it out how to order online and how they will deliver it. it does not have any shipment cost. the order came from hong kong and delivered in my home here in the philippines. i don't know why they don't have shipment fees considering the item is coming from overseas.
but i am was not much confident on ordering more expensive item as i have heard some bad reviews about this site and so i will just limit my purchase for cheap items like the one just purchased.

The first item i bought from the internet was a set of air tight containers
.It was not so good as the lid never used to open or close properly.But they were nice to look at so we decided not not buy any product besides seeing it from the shop.Now i cannot return the product as it is not in a bad condition.

I purchased a trial offer of teeth whitner, and what a nightmare it became. This happened to me just in the last 10 days. I ordered a trial size for $1.18 and I received it within a couple days. Then I got my statement from Visa and was totally surprised to see what was all charged to me.
Not only did the company I bought it from charge me $88.99 instead of $1.18 but they also gave out my credit card information to their affiliate companies and started charging me for all kinds of stuff. In total I was charged $524.25. I was charged some big amounts for products they said they sent me and I never received and a bunch of small companies. eg. some were for $4.49 some were for $2.95 and so on. There were a total of 8 different sites that charged me something.
I spent 3 hours on the phone cancelling all of them and trying to get some of my money back. I managed to recieve $88.95 so far. I have Visa fighting for me also.
I will never buy anything online again after this experience. Too bad it had to be such a bad experience for this was the first time I ever bought anything online except Westjet tickets, and it will be the last time.

that was terrible. i don't know why we can't have any kind of protection. like if we can tell beforehand the credit card company how much we are supposed to pay the online site for some trial offer or some purchase so that those companies will not overcharged and cheat on us. that is what i am really worried of. like if their transaction they said we will be charged only this certain amount but we will actually pay much more than what we should pay for.
and one time i had made payments by my debit card to one online site. it says free trial and will not be charged if i not made a purchase or upgrade after the free trial . so basically what happened when the free trial offer was over i was charged for my prepaid subscription for one month of $5. when i was still using free trial. there is no where in the site that says that i cancel it out, it says it will cancel itself automatically when i didn't upgrade, once the free trial offer has ended . and so i expect that i will be not charged for it . but i did get surprised when i got charged. i was really so surprised. then only then i saw in a page how to cancel it. but hopefully i won't be charged again this coming 28th of this month. cause i already canceled by phone as the way to cancel it two weeks ago. and the thing is i need to make overseas call to reach them.

The very first item I purched on-line was a DVD from a mail order service. I had made some purchese befroe from them with postal mail forms. but when I startd to get more net access, I used there on-line forms. the order was in my onwn country the U.S.

there are so many good online shops that delivers to US cities and i am sure you will always get a good deal there. i try to find good online shops for international countries like the philippines with free shipping or even just minimal shipping fee.

Interesting thread. The first item I bought online must have been an album from some german band. I ordered it through a german website and all and it came within a week, in perfect timing and conditions. It's easy to trust retail stores, but not so much people from auctioning websites, you know...

first thing i ever bought was a rucksack for school of ebay totalling around £5. However, i have been buying online for a few year now and not really had any problems, i have bought expensive items aswell, in fact the laptop i am using to write this message is bought of ebay. My advice would be dont buy impulsively on the internet, research the website and the item your buying before you purchase. :D

I remember the first item that I ordered online. It was a bunch of Yu-Gi-Oh playing cards. I purchased them on Ebay and paid for it through Paypal. I remember I was really nervous about the item not arriving or there would be something wrong with it. But it came just fine and I was happy.

The first thing I ever purchased online was a PlayStation Portable. I know, I was very late to the virtual market.
£200 from eBay, brand spanking new, factory sealed. I played on it practically every day, having a blast on Tekken, Grand Theft Auto and LocoRoco to name just a few games I had in my PSP collection. On car journeys, at school, even in the early hours of the morning, my PSP was rarely out of my hands.
The delivery of the item was faster than I was expecting, and I haven't looked back since. I must admit, I definitely prefer shopping online, in the comfort of my own home, rather than fight through the bustling crowds and hunt for the item I want in over-crowded stores.

it is focalprice.com. i should warn though that it is quite risky to be the expensive items here. so i just buy cheap items here. not more than $10 in value or even $5 in value. some people said they didn't receive the item.

The first thing I bought online were Iphone carrying cases. 4 of them,all of different colors! I love them they are cute and I could change up my style whenever I want! I especially loved that with shipping included I only payed 10.04$ CAD! Ever since I've been trying to find little gadgets online! :)

I have been using the online system of purchasing the air tickets for a couple of years. the biggest plus point is you can compare the price of the tickets from a number of airlines, and then you can buy the tickets.
My first purchase on Ebay was a laptop cooling fan, which I purchased, because, ebay had given a $5 discount coupon, and so I used this gift coupon.
Recently I have also purchased two expensive mobile phones through ebay.

i think the first thing I bough online was plane tickets.. it was the first trip I was taking with my friends to boracay, and I was scared cause I didn't want to give out such confidential information.. but nothing bad happened and of course we got our tickets.. now though I just bough a new netbook online.. my boyfriend keeps telling me that i really had the guts cause it was really scary to buy a high price item and you're not really sure if the item would be in good condition or not.. good thing that my netbook is in good condition and i'm really happy.
