The show was all about breasts and she was on because there is a history of breast cancer in her family. Her mother is a breast cancer surviver. Crystal had agreed to come on the show so they could demostrate a new screening test that is good for younger women for whom mammograms apparently are not much good. However, it is to be done in addition to mammograms not in place of them. In the test they try to collect secretions from the breasts. For someone young like Crystal the most normal result would be that they were not able to collect any secretions. But even if secretions are collected, than they are tested to see if they are abnormal. For Crystal the results were normal and therefore good. In real life she seems like a very nice person, unlike her character on the show.
