What comic books are you reading these days? I'm just finishing Ultimate X-Men. It sucks but since read first 50 issues, I think I'll finish it. Then I'll get to Hellblazer again and maybe try "The Boys". I've heard it's not bad.

Thank you, Bionicman! I am reading "The Umbrella Academy" and this book is a great series to read from Dark Horse, it is written by Gerard Way and Gabriel Ba. This book is unique and takes dysfunctional family to a whole new level.

I meant thank you for creating this thread. Oh, I have been to San Diego Comic Con (SDCC) and it was awesome, but tickets sell out fast and you always have to book ahead of time. Oh, and I would like to promote the Long Beach Comic Con (LBCC) in Long Beach, California, this is the first year for it, and if you are in the area, feel free to check us out. You can visit us at http://www.longbeachcomiccon.com/ Tell everyone about this because it is the first year, and if it sells out, then this can come back to Long Beach every year.

Here in Belgium they haven't got the comic books as you Americans know them. No spiderman, X-men, of badmen. We got like albums. Hard covered comics. Right now I'm reading my collection of Calvin&Hobbes.

Same here. I'm not American. Here in Croatia we mostly read Italian comics (Zagor, Dylan Dog, Alan Ford...maybe you heard of them).

i was never one to read specific comic books, but I do subscribe to number of comic strips on line. I subscribe to the daily Garfield, Family Circuis, and Pickles comics. they're the first thing I read in the morning.

I am following the English version of Hikaru no Go, waiting for #17 to be released next month. I just found out if I could read Japanese, I could get the entire story now and be done with it ... I'm not a Marvel fan, but they have a couple of series, Ender's Game and Ender's Shadow. But I have been waiting months for the next issues #4 out of 5. I'm beginning to wonder if it has been canceled or something. The books were better anyway ... Then there's anything by written by Alan Moore, I am more apt to buy than anything else, but the work "Hell" was drawn by an artist that is a little too scribbly for my taste. Other than that I am more inclined to buy independent works than mainstream since the variety I crave is more likely to be satisfied.

I'm sure you can find it online. At first I refused to read digital comic scans and I thought it's not as enjoyable as paper version but then I somehow started it to get some manga series I wouldn't be able to read otherwise. I got used to it and it's pretty much the same thing..if you have laptop and can take it to bed, outside etc;) Haven't even heard about Ender actually and I pretty much like everything Moore too.

My husband is HUGE into comic books. Since then he has gotten me to read some too. Being a girl, I don't exactly enjoy the same ones he does or that other men might enjoy. My favorite is the Spider Man Loves Mary Jane series!!! I am also guilty of reading Archie, Betty, and Veronica! lol Hey at least I'm supportive of my husband's habit and try reading some too. Speaking of comic books, we're going to our town's comicon tomorrow morning! Going to meet some famous comic book artists. Can't wait :-)
